I never got over anything. I miss everyone and everything. nostalgia and grief kill me every day. oh and I also love going on walks.
they killed him for this
And what if rap WAS only about sex, violence, and drugs... what then? Would you be justified in looking down upon it as not being "real" art? What would your justification be? Sex is immoral and taboo? Drugs should never be mentioned outside of D.A.R.E programs? Songs about violence turn children to it? Would you turn that standard to other genres as well? I know you wouldn't, I know you haven't, because it's never really been about the topics explored.
please god let chatgpt die out like nfts did. With a fast and graceless fall into irrelevancy

This spell has a very low hit ratio, so we need a lot of us to do it.
bell hooks mentioned going through a time in her life where she was severely depressed and suicidal and how the only way she got through it was through changing her environment: She surrounded her home with buddhas of all colors, Audre Lorde’s A Litany for Survival facing her as she wakes up, and filling the space she saw everyday with reinforcing objects and meaningful books. She asks herself each day, “What are you going to do today to resist domination?” I also really liked it when she said that in order to move from pain to power, it is crucial to engage in “an active rewriting of our lives.”
I have come to think of the suicidal impulse as the brain waving a flag to say three things:
something needs to change here
this is urgent
I don’t know how to do it
death is the ultimate metaphor for drastic change. it’s a general specific. whatever your problems are, it is very likely that dead people don’t have to deal with them. a real solution to your problems may demand a very narrow range of action that’s likely to be out of reach at this moment, but death is sold on every street corner, so it feels like a more realistic fantasy than happiness.
you don’t really want to die per se but it’s also not completely random chemicals swamping your brain for no reason. you want the pain to stop, you want to be somewhere else, you want to be someone else. it’s urgent. you don’t know how to do it. the end is not the end but a means that feels within your reach right now.
this is the wisdom of bell hooks: daily rituals of meaning and resistance and solidarity are part of slowly building a future where you can make the change you really need. and only alive people can do that. every step you take towards change and power is another step away from death.
taking off a mask to reveal what lies beneath as a romantic gesture is overdone, and besides i want to see the romantic or even platonic potential of protecting someone's identity beneath the mask, without any expectation of ever being allowed to see what's under it. picking it up and holding it gently to their face when it's knocked off and they're in danger of being exposed, without trying to catch a glimpse of what they "really" look like under there. throwing yourself in front of them to hide them from view while they put themselves back together without taking advantage or looking back to see what you're protecting. learning to read them by body language, tone of voice, and behaviour so well that you never need to see their face to feel like you know and understand them.

fellatio sounds like a supporting shakespeare character rather than oral sex on a penis to be honest
Any sci-fi media: the spaceship is a character
Me: OMG THE SPACESHIP IS A CHARACTER
using violence to liberate people from sweatshops, unsafe mines, and grinding poverty isn't the same as using violence to impose those things on people. the idea that violence is morally repugnant regardless of context is a belief that every oppressor throughout history would love for the oppressed to hold

i honesty don’t remember waking up and sending this to my friend, but apparently i did. i vaguely remember being awake and thinking about little crabs before getting pulled back under into sleep, but zero memory of sending these messages.
anyway, did y'all know? did y'all know.
You can draw it on the back of an envelope.
my GOD.
i had forgotten about this post!
oh god this was such a joyous event.

Yeah okay there are like 11 species of heron native to the USA and yes fine I’ve only managed to spot 10 of those species. You might think I’m bitter about that one species evading me but I’m not. I’m actually the Least Bittern person about it in the entire world
my evil superpower is that i am really, really good at the fine-tuning of emotional manipulation for ads which i only use for fb marketplace but if i had less of a moral compass i could make bank in advertisement
i didn't actually buy this i inherited it from my roommate who bought it and gave it to me to make some money off of. but that's not a good enough story. the facts are right but we need a more relatable framework, we need to be trendy, we need an adhd mention. adhd mention stocks are way up with brooklyn libs who would buy an espresso machine. clear, clean picture with a plant for the algorithm, which favors aesthetically pleasing pictures. if you get this espresso machine, your mornings will be green and bright. pets work too but use judiciously, you don't want to gross out non-animal people. then you hit them with the challenge that doubles as a disclaimer in case they are unhappy with their purchase: if you buy this espresso maker, you can be a sophisticated person who can handle a delicate machine, unlike me, who is not sophisticated, who is not a coffee connoisseur, like you are, reader. so now that i have lightly self-deprecated which has gotten you into an open, receptive mood, you go in for the kill: a call to action that's a little bit pathetic. sold in 2 days
