Dr. Mamode talks about how they are running out of supplies to operate and how they used the last of their shunts - device used to bypass artery in the neck to supply blood to the brain - on a three year old shot deliberately in the neck by an IDF drone. The 3 year old died 4 days later from infection because they don't have the medicines either.

These things have records. Theres paperwork involved. If a person is convicted of something, that is easy to prove. But they want that moment of doubt. By the time we've gone through the records, they've moved on to something else.

The person who says it first controls the narrative for a time.

Despite being proven wrong repeatedly, people still believe that Renee Good was a child abuser. Thats happening here, too.

I think it's worth noting that frankly, the right response to these accusations is so what? I don't care what anyone has done in their past. Someone's past in no way shape or form justifies an extrajudicial murder. People who have taken bad actions in their past do not deserve to be shot by some jackass in the street.

If you want to be a total asshole and create this classification of 'bad people'? I reject the premise.

But if I am forced to accept the premise temporarily for the sake of this argument? No, bad people do not deserve to get shot in the street either.

It is factually true that these people who were murdered by ICE officers did not have any particularly criminal or violent actions in their past. It is also true that even if they did, that's not a justification for any law enforcement officer to take any kind of violent action against them.

Don't get tricked into having an argument about whether or not Alex Pretti and Renee Good were innocent or what their past might have been.

Ask what kind of people law enforcement officers should be able to shoot in the street and execute.

Because one of these days they're going to shoot an innocent person who does have a criminal past and you have got to stop letting them convince you that that's okay
