Crosley Cruisers

Who It’s For: The Crosley Cruiser is THE vinyl player to buy if you’re going into college and looking to add a touch of vintage to your dorm room. Small in size and portable, it doesn’t take up too much real estate in your dorm room and it’s perfect for any college guy or gal looking to get into vinyl.

How to Talk It Up: Encourage any young shoppers you see at Greet! If they’re with their parents and are looking at vinyl players, it should definitely be an easy sell. A great introductory vinyl player to get them started.

Crosley AV Room Turntable

Price: $169

Who It’s For: The Crosley AV Room Turntable is the turntable to buy for our more experienced and older customers. It’s larger in size, so it fits well into an apartment as a featured piece in a living room or lounge. The most prominent difference is that the AV Room Turntable can convert vinyl into MP3 via USB connection. A great addition for any seasoned vinyl expert!

How to Talk It Up: For any seasoned customer looking at our vinyl players, or for parents looking for their kids. It should be an easy sell for parents shopping for their college kids who live in an apartment, just talk about the USB conversion and how helpful that is!

Who It’s For: The Crosley Sterling Turntable with Built In Stand is for all our older generation customers that want a centerpiece for their house. A great looker, it’s sure to grab anyone’s attention.

How to Talk It Up: Definitely talk about how gorgeous the vinyl stand looks and how it can easily be the centerpiece in any home. A great way to talk to our older customers about vinyl.

Class 131 - Rompers

For June’s focus, we decided to focus on Class 131, Rompers. Drawing our inspiration from both Femme and Modern looks, we chose 4 outfits stylized to fit any girl with a soft, feminine touch.

Style Inspiration: We chose two Femme and two Modern outfits for our project this month.

How It Fit, Favorite Piece, Favorite Moment and Experience are pieces of feedback that our models had about both the clothing and the experience.

Style Inspiration: For Kayla, we chose a Femme outfit that excels at being comfortable while still being stylish for any girl meeting up with a group of friends for a casual night out

How It Fit: The romper was a bit large on my body but that's normal for a UO romper because I'm a petite human

Favorite Piece: I really liked the denim button up because it can be casual or you could dress it up. Plus it was super comfy

Favorite Moment: Trying on clothes was definitely my favorite moment because I love love LOVE trying on clothing. I really enjoy fashion stuff!

Experience: It was my first time doing anything like this, and it was really fun, just a tad bit hot outside...but overall, it was fun doing something new. I’d try it again because UO is probably my favorite store haha

Style Inspiration: For Jessie, we chose a Femme/Boho outfit that would work well for hot summer festival days, with a Renewal denim jacket to keep warm during cold desert nights

How It Fit: The vocal point of the outfit, the romper, fit very true to size! Still loose fitting of course as is the style of it.

Favorite Piece: I really enjoyed the hat honestly! I've been on the fence about buying a wide brim hat like that one for a while so it was fun to play around with!

Favorite Moment: Considering the temperature outside I enjoyed any part of it where we were inside! 

Experience: This is my 3rd time doing a photo shoot like this! It's always enjoyable (even in extreme temperatures!)

Style Inspiration: For Jenn, we picked out a Modern outfit that would work well for a night out on the town.

How It Fit: Everything fit true to size. I would totally wear the outfit because I wear black all the time

Favorite Piece: My favorite piece were the shoes, albeit they took some getting used to. I love the platforms though, as they remind me of my yesteryears

Favorite Moment: It was definitely going back into the store because it was a furnace outside

Experience: I’ve shot with Aaron a lot of times, and I’ve enjoyed it every time. Aaron was a very nice photographer and grabbed us some tunes to pose to and tissues to blot our glistening selves since it was so hot outside.

Christina Perkins

Style Inspiration: For Christina, we chose a Modern outfit that would work well in any work setting but still turn heads outside in a more casual setting.

How It Fit: The jumpsuit was really comfortable! I thought the top was freeing even while tightened and the fitted to loose cut on the bottom worked well.

Favorite Piece: My favorite piece was the jumpsuit. I felt like it made me look powerful and more confident!

Favorite Moment: My favorite moment was when Aaron was prepping me on how to pose. This was my first shoot and I really appreciated the direction. 

Experience: The overall experience was wonderful! Being my first time shooting I was a little nervous but it was fun and would love to do it again!

Unisex Shop

For May’s focus, we decided to focus on the Men’s Entry, Unisex. Drawing our inspiration from the Urban On App Loadscreen, we chose a Blue & White colorway while mixing up both male and female pieces to compliment this summery look. 

Style Inspiration: Major brands in this project are Feathers, Your Neighbors, Urban Renewal and Levi’s + BDG Boyfriend Jeans.

How It Fit, Favorite Piece, Favorite Moment and Experience are pieces of feedback that our models had about both the clothing and the experience.

Urban Renewal Deep Indigo Trucker Jacket - $79

How It Fit: The pants seemed true to size for the most part. The tank was oversized, obviously, because it was a men's tank. However, it wasn't too oversized to the point where I wouldn't be able to wear it alone. The jacket was a medium, and I wear small, so that was actually really big on me. Almost sort of swallowed me up, but if I was going for a retro look it would work well.

Favorite Piece: I liked the choker the best actually! Although the outfit did come together nicely, I couldn't see myself pick out each item for my own wardrobe, but the choker added a really nice touch and complimented my hair nicely.

Favorite Moment: I actually loved when Aaron was modeling and we were helping direct him. I totally understand what he means when he's used to only being behind the camera, so it was fun helping him out and giving some ideas for poses and such.

Experience: Since this was my second UO photoshoot, I can compare it to the last one and say it was so much easier and relaxed this time around. It might be because we didn't have to drive out to anywhere, but also the overall atmosphere was really chill, friendly, and comfortable.

How It Fit: Everything fit perfectly. Nice and breezy. Perfect for the summer.

Favorite Piece: My favorite piece was the pants. I really liked the style and even though I thought they would itch, they didn’t itch at all! It was a pleasant surprise.

Favorite Moment: Anytime I get to be involved with picking out outfits and wearing one is a favorite moment. This project was a good opportunity for me to work on that.

Experience: This was a great experience, and it was definitely nice to know that our team is getting stronger getting exposure and experience modeling for our product knowledge projects.

How It Fit: The outfit I wore was rather interesting. It was a men's Feathers XS Tee Shirt worn as a dress over shorts so I guess it fit well? I would for sure wear the piece as a dress but probably as a shirt too! The shorts and shoes fit true to size.

Favorite Piece: Honestly if have to say my favorite part of my ensemble was the amazing vagabond platforms I got to rock, super comfy and they looked killer! 

Favorite Moment: I enjoyed the group pictures the most I think! It was fun trying make everything come across as a genuine moment for the shot.

Experience: It was a fun time! I enjoyed everyone's fun, relaxed energy and I think we all had a good time!

How It Fit: I loved the outfitting for the shoot! I wore a Women's BDG ripped denim jeans,which I don't mind wearing because I wear them often. I wore them with a men's feathers muscle tee which was a sized large. My size is a medium but I like the oversized fit so it worked out well. I also wore an OBEY Bolinas bucket hat, which was too modern. I prefer the 90's vintage bucket hat because they're bigger and I like the look.

Favorite Piece: My favorite piece was the black Teva sandals because I hate wearing my feet out so it was cool to step out of my comfort zone.

Favorite Moment: My favorite moment was the group picture with the guys and girls because there was no awkward moment being surrounded by the people I just met. It was a dope vibe during the whole shoot!

Experience: Overall it was a great experience for my first fashion shoot with other people, this can benefit me in the future when I start my professional modeling career.

How It Fit: The top was a size small, which fit oversized. Since it is a Men's tank, the structure was more boxy, which I liked since it gave it more of a relaxed look. The boyfriend jeans were a bit big. I had to keep pulling them up every now-and-then. The low top converse fit true to size.

Favorite Piece: I actually loved the tank, shoes, and necklace. They were all something I would wear. I loved the fit of the tank. I liked the simple, geometric design of the necklace with the suede cord. It had some weight on it so it didn't feel cheap for the price point. I've always wanted to get a pair of white converse shoes.

Favorite Moment: I really enjoyed the group photos. It was fun and funny trying to interact with everyone to produce a genuine moment. When in reality we were all being silly and saying random things to get the shot

Experience: This was my second time modeling for the UO Durham product knowledge shoot. Comparing the two, this shoot was a lot more relaxed. Unlike the first one, where we had to drive out to a different location, we just shot this one outside behind the store. It didn't take as long and the weather outside was a lot nicer than the first time I modeled, which was really cold. Overall, great second time experience!

How It Fit: The pants fit true to size, I’m a skinny guy so I have to buy women’s pants sometime. The shirt was a little big, but I own lots of Feathers stuff and know that they shrink in the wash. They fit perfectly after one wash.

Favorite Piece: I love the Apollo shoes! I’ve wanted some slip on running shoes for a while and these fit perfectly.

Favorite Moment: The group pictures, for sure. It was great vibing with everyone together.

Experience: This is my first time being in front of the camera for these Product Knowledge Projects, so it was really nerve wracking for me. But it was totally fun! It was great hanging out with everyone and having my friends help direct me.
