2018 has been a hell of a year. I managed to get a minimum of one finished picture done per month, which was my goal for the year. Then Tumblr puked itself, so I don’t know where I live now. But I guess I’ll just keep posting here until I can get a pillowfort or something. This is December’s final piece, and the last of 2018′s projects. (Technically, I finished about 4 hours late, but... Ignore that.) This is my selfsona, you guys can call me Any variation of Jason Dean, wearing all my typical gear for 2018. This is what idiot artist you’d see on the street or something when you met me. Give or take a few details. That’s who I was. Let’s see who I am this new year, huh? Into the sunshine of a new year!!!

Tumblr is apparently dying. But I wanna post the last 2 images for the year up here for November (this one) and December (whenever I do it) just to keep them together and datemarked. Plus, I’m not sure where I’m going. I’m Ravenyote on twitter, so I guess I’ll post news there or something. I got other sites, I’m just waiting to see which one looks like it’ll be a real home before I bunk down.

I wanted to try something more symbolic and spooky this time. I think I got it somewhat, but I need to work on lighting faces in the future.Ta!

Look ma, art. I don’t think you understand how proud I am that that text wraps to the page. This is my “Wodenson” version of Loki who I roleplay. He’s much older than MCU Loki, and has lived a few lives, recently cut his hair. I spotted an outfit and went “I could modify that--” and when I was done he looked like an offshoot of AoA. Guess I know where his taste is from.

I drew a new banner for my commissions page to show what I can draw. Monsters, skulls, furries, men, women, and multiple lighting sources. Tada! Designed all these kids so I guess they’re OCs now. Whoops. I love the monster.

My werewolf from one of my Dissonance series, a novel series I’ve been working on since I was 8 years old. His name is Vitenka, and he’s got a relatively minor role in the actual writing, but a major role in how the world developed! This is him older, by the by. He’s just a kid in the novel. but-- he’s PRETTY AND FUZZY WHEN HE’S BIGGO. He’s golden because werewolves have slowly become domesticated, and he’s a city boy, so like his parents, he takes after dogs a lot. I still think Werewolves are just an excuse to be a supernatural version of a furry so no one teases you about it. But I know the truth. They’re basically the same thing. Awooo.

Oh I did this in June too. I forgot, given it was traditional. My first attempt at marker coloring! Well, professional, alcohol-based markers anyways. It’s uh, self portrait. Raven and Coyote skulls, since they tend to be my representative animals. Garlic, Kenilworth ivy, Lilac, Succulents, Ginger, Swamp Rose, Willow, and Yarrow for the plants. Since I grow, or regularly use and have an attachment to those plants. I didn’t look up meanings for these, they are what they are. Major parts of my life. Okay that’s my TED talk about symbolism in my hand drawn selfie, bye.
