When asked what they liked most about HashiMada:

The only thing better than found family: found divorce <3 In all seriousness, their dynamic is so compelling -- nuanced, complicated, terribly tragic in the best and worst ways. At the end of the day they were both kids shaped by war & violence who just wanted peace, torn apart by circumstances both within and beyond their control, yet despite everything they cannot bring themselves to hate each other. The gap between who they are (were) as men and the legacy they left behind being so much bigger than the sum of their parts also ties in so neatly it's like catnip to me.
