once, I took your medication to know what it's like (9x14 spoilers)
sheriff woodson: you're married to buck and you murdered him. eddie: i didn't murder him. tommy: you're in love with eddie and you're living in his house. buck: this isn't his house.
"I CANT HANDLE THIS" *handles this*
"I CANT TAKE ANOTHER DAY" *takes another day*
Shouldn't it be when you're at your worst, they're at their worst, you have every reason to give up, and you still decide you want to try again?
"Take your Japanese robo-toilet and shove it up your ass."
I have so much hope that they are actually cooking something up with the way they have been reminding us that Buck and Eddie are each other's person at the end of the day. It always buckandeddie and the amount of scenes where we have been reminded of this or where they are compared to other couples has just SKYROCKETED recently. So I do feel like there's a real possibility that we have an arc set up where they have to recontextualize what they mean to each other first of all because of this addiction storyline where we have Buck who keeps pushing Eddie away and Eddie who is stubborn and keeps trying to break down those walls anyway. This could lead to a "why do you even care so much, anyway?"-line (or like "you're not my boyfriend, Eddie" or any kind of call out on Buck's part) which then leads into a conversation that forces them to gain some perspective on what kind of relationship they have. This is also where the 2ddie talk could come in because who better to point out the elephant than Maddie. But also, walk with me here, WHAT IF the department has a look at the new mexico case, either because of Buck's absence or because they have to testify or something, and they find out the sheriff reported on them being a couple, which leads into an hr investigation into a potentially undisclosed relationship in the workplace. Which would lead them to have to confront how the outside world perceives them EVEN MORE. And then this is how we get buddie feelings realization cliffhanger into s10.....
that’s what i like about you! 🏜️
fixed it 🩹
eddie sees right through him. he just decided he wanted to give buck a chance to prove to him that he can handle it, that he has trust in buck, even if he doesn’t actually believe him. and eddie will keep checking in even if buck tries to push him away.
food being Buck’s love language + Eddie gets cranky when he doesn’t eat = Buck always making sure Eddie is fed
Frantisek Kupka, Autumn Sun Three Goddesses, 1906.
excuse me
did buck buy them matching little gay mugs
but literally eddie's reaction to buck’s firefighter auction performance is like, more proof that eddie sees buck as his Spouse. not consciously. yet. but the camera is cutting to him watching buck like he’s considering making a bid. he's looking huffy and calling buck SHAME-LESS. like he seems lowkey annoyed. that buck is showing this domestic side (that eddie already Knows and Loves btw. has for several years now btw! actually he's always the First to try buck’s baked goods if anyone even cares) and making a show of wanting to settle down. like, God buck’s so Shameless using these things to get a date! when EYE eddie diaz have loved these things about him from the very START. he's in my WILL. btw. we have a son. btw. he makes pancakes in my kitchen. btw
Buck absolutely not flirting with his best friend, Eddie, after running to the hospital to see him :)
to recap. eddie's intense indignation at people getting into a bidding war over buck. eddie IMMEDIATELY calling buck when chris goes missing. buck maintaining his right to be angry at abigail for taking chris just as much as eddie. eddie immediately shutting down any mention of him and alex being a thing. buck rushing to the hospital for eddie. buck calling eddie sexy and eddie acting like buck just shot him by doing so. eddie paying maddie to make sure he doesn't have to go on a date with a woman. the shot lingering on eddie's face when buck goes on stage and talks about being a new man who's ready to settle down. which could mean nothing.
close your mouth gay boy
FIRST step to enjoying any media is getting attached to the character whose suicidal tendencies are the most obvious
Second step is shipping them with whoever they are most likely to become codependent with.
