Recently I played Spiritfarer, a game about building a boat. It split me open like a meteor and grafted itself to my bones. This is my attempt to draw those feelings out.
u ever come across an old liked meme from some dusty ancient fandom you used to be a part of and just
.....admire the simpler times

its good to acknoweldge the hollowness of revenge but sometimes you really do just need a story about someone who gets hurt and then kills and kills and kills and kills their enemies. its cathartic, babey.
how it feels occasionally revisiting your old fandom you’re no longer a part of but all the good memories are still there. #nostalgia
Sage advice. See more highlights from Drake’s SNL.
I love this rainbow that forms near my university's water fountain lol.
This book was my first read this year and it's so wonderfully written! So many quotes stuck with me and I love the pace of the book especially in the beginning. A great hook in every chapter, idk how you do it Khaled Hosseini! The dive into the caste system and social inequality woven into a tightly wound system of perpetual oppression speaks so much to most south asians.
I don't think Amir could've redeemed his wrongdoings. He's flawed, I get it. The author narrates his character explicitly to show it. But there's a deeper egocentric reasoning behind his actions. I don't like how there's an attempt to conceal that at times. But seriously, i like the character's dynamics so much while I don't think the movie did the book justice, i definitely think Ahmad Khan Mahmidzada (Hassan) and Zekeria Ebrahimi (Amir) did an incredible job. I just wish it hadn't missed out some real major dialogues and scenes from the book in addition to the subtle nuances. Hassan's pure and childlike expressions almost made me cry during the pomegranate tree scene! But again, wish they didn't cut out the dialogue:
"Are you Satisfied? Do you feel better?"
Got me. Hassan was an angel on earth but unfortunately was an innocent kid who lived and died not knowing life beyond one which was as socially rigid as his fate was precarious. Died not knowing he shared blood with the masters he served.
Unfortunately the lives of many children meet the same fate as Hassan beyond just pages and fiction.
Anyway, great read!
I need to rant:
First of all: i hope that username is ironic, but as i am not stupid, i know it probably isn't. Also, WHY do you want a man who does everything for you?? The women in the comments were making fun of the men and said that the women in the video (there were several who were the one rowing) probably also had to pay for herself and pick the location for the date. My answer is so? Why do you complain that two fully grown grownups have to pay egually and that you have to row a fucking boat (which is the fun part anyway). People say that Sabrina Carpenters album cover is setting women back 80 years but i'd argue that this is truely worse. You are a grown woman - not a girl. Row the fucking boat.
