ppl who don’t make an effort to listen to their partner(s) abt their interests bc they “don’t like it” scare me
exactly. it’s not about whether you like it or understand it. it’s about sharing their joy and learning about who they are.
Real and true
Lots and lots of Sketches of Eloise and Charles from... I am not sure what setting anymore ... xD;; First 3 should be the Anno-1800-verse ... the last 3 are post PF2e session where Eloise decided she had to be a front liner and even though she landed some great damages/debuffs, she unfortunately got KO'd... for a turn. She was back and up next round, and she immediately leaped to finish off the enemy next to her :D;; Charles is not in the campaign but I imagine he was horrified to find out she came out of that fight with like 3HP !
I'm not sure which of these will be made into a proper colored illustrations yet... but for now they are sketches. I've been enjoying drawing little moments between these too so much lately. ;u;
Thank you for stopping by!
to a 2025 of finding the spark (and being in peace when it takes a vacation) 🥂
The Shape of Ideas
“who’s your favorite character?” my friend’s oc. “who’s your favorite character in canon?” my friend’s oc. “your favorite character can’t be your friend’s oc!” the posters on my walls and discord messages say otherwise. my wound has a heartbeat and only my friend’s oc can fix it. goodbye chat
seeing everyone’s oc names in the tags gives me life. always keep creating guys
I don't know where it came from, but several years ago this idea popped into my head unbidden, and for some reason it tickles me. I don't know if it's funny, but I like it and I made it into a zine, I hope you enjoy it.
It lays out really nicely as 3-up spreads on A4 paper, so you can print, staple and fold it, then cut it into 3 zines. It made it really easy to print up 20 of them to trade at this art social thing I went to
micron, rotring and sharpie on printer paper, coloured and screentoned digitally, 2024
This is magnificent and I love it.
FFxivWrite2024 Participation Prize for @briar-ffxiv ~ I hope I did your bean justice :> He was really sweet to draw!!! And congratulations for tackling the challenge too!! \o/
Big thanks to @sea-wolf-coast-to-coast for organizing the event once more! Looking forward to next year too!

"I remember that day too . . . I wish I didn't." Whew, I'm so sorry this took ages. Originally I was going to directly go at what is next chapter but I though I need to show why old man Gaku San was so important for our beloved Sneric :D;; he took him in when noone would and taught him al about medicine! A much needed kindness for the little lost one. But what is this? He was the chief's son! Even better motive for revenge! ... or so the medallion would say.
Thank you so much for stopping by!! Likes and reblogs warm my heart <3 Next chapter is sketched already though it will be another longer one so it may take me a while. :D;; Please look forward to it!
Thank you for liking my Mistria farmer so much! \o/ I'm flattered! Fyndel is flattered too! I drew her a lot last weekend though scanning sketchbook pages is always a struggle... :');;; Bonus a flower for Stillwell ...who is not released yet but... he will get all the flowers when he shows up! I may rewdraw this one digitally, I think it's really cute! :D
Now to painfully wait for next Mistria update... :');;;
I drew miss Voice, a demon husband to smooch :>
It all started as a joke with her first servant in "V Rising" named Orson, who just kept getting on my way when I was trying to build the castle xD;; now he is proper demon husband.
Thank you for stopping by!
Mirage Crown now has a proper home!
Hello, hello friends :D It's been a hot minute! I'm sneaking in here to say I uploaded Mirage Crown on my own web site so it won't be forever buried on just Tumblr/Twitter and instead have a proper home! I also uploaded all the Teledji arts I could find on my PC ...and they were a lot. Seriously past Denny sure had a lot of energy and I wish she'd share with current Denny XD
Anyhowsies, I hope you enjoy your stay! My main website is still WIP but I do hope and plan to park all my comic projects there overtime.
ttrpg player pro tip- just tell your GM when you have a plot in mind for your character. Ask for events to happen. Walk up and say "I want my evil brother to show up and be a huge fight and I try to save him from himself." Your GM will ADORE having a whole encounter outlined for her, you'll get to have an awesome scene play out, you'll be invested, your GM will be invested, it'll be memorable. Hopefully, just don't be foreceful.
The idea that you and your GM will be able to like, psychically intuit each other's ideas for character arcs is bullshit. This is a collaborative relationship; communicate!!
Also get comfortable undoing shit if you're the DM. If you made an off-hand comment that didn't fit the world you want to weave or if you realized pulling a character out now has bad implications. You can just pause and tell everyone "wait I changed my mind, forget I said that! it didn't happen." and go back to the previous scene.
Ultimately ttrpgs should be a fun play time; ask yourself if you're following invisible rules, and if those rules help or hinder your game experience.
"emet-selch had a point" girl the ancients' clothes are called sophist's robes...
He’s so good as a villain but they did back flips with how hard they bent backwards to sweep his omni-cide under the rug so he could be redeemed
Hope it's okay to steal your tags @unionizedwizard
JUST BECAUSE YOU FEEL BAD FOR HIM DOES NOT MEAN HE WAS REDEEMED, NAY, THIS IS THE CRUX OF ISHIKAWA’S THESIS ON FASCISM.
the society he would omni-cide everyone to resurrect in fact projected it's failures into the universe so hard that every living being almost died. The perfect civilization was never real and only existed in his head, and he wouldn't even believe that he would stoop so low to save it. Didn't want to believe he could be that kind of person. But you can! Anyone can! The siren song of an ideal world is not only fake but will blind you to the material reality of what does exist for us to make a future with! that's the Point Of It All
One of the last things he says in Ultima Thule:
Emet-Selch: But more than that, the future you seek is not the past we loved. That is why we fought. And why I lost. Emet-Selch: But though you defeated me, my ideals are inviolate. Invincible.
Even at the end, beyond death when he now remembers the cause of the Final Days and helped us with Meteion, he does not think he was wrong. He only concedes that he lost, Venat and WoL won (due to the advantage of remembering), and that now it's up to the Scions to finish the job and save what's left of the Etheirys he loved.
One of the things I enjoy about Emet-Selch as an antagonist and frenemy is that he is so sympathetic while not being at all apologetic about the evils he committed.
The man he was in Elpis was rightfully horrified by the tale of who he became, because he had not yet lived it to understand how he fell into the villain WoL defeats. It's tragic, but ultimately it was his own terrible choices over time that led to the showdown in the First.
This comes back to the ideas about how people think redemption works, versus what it actually is: the person who committed the terrible actions has to want to, and try to, change. They have to put the work in, often continuously. A single act doesn't really do it most times, and the intention and reason must be there. How other people feel about them has no bearing; forgive them or don't; feel pity or don't; it doesn't matter. Only their own intention and actions.
Emet-Selch has no intent to redeem himself, because he never once thinks he was wrong. He helps because he remembers, and concedes his own defeat, but will not ever shirk his duty to the star.
Similarly:
Sorrow of Werlyt isn't a redemption arc. Gaius Baelsar's redemption arc happens offscreen. When we meet him as the Shadowhunter, he's already made the commitment to change. Valdeaulin is there to hold him to it (and, literally, kill him if he slips up!) Werlyt is at best a continuation of his arc (showing that he really is committed to it). Much more than that though, it's a "Your shitty actions had horrible consequences for people you loved, you moron" arc. Which isn't the same thing.
Characters who actually get a completely straightforward, on-screen redemption arc: Fordola.
online communities are so strange because people slip away so easily. you can be on here for years, folding people you've never met into the fabric of your daily life, and then they disappear, leaving only ghost posts scattered across tumblr behind. or their blog stays dormant, for weeks, months, years, until you're only still following them because you remember that they love sunflowers or they were kind to you when they didn't have to be or the last thing they posted was sad and raw and you still worry about them sometimes.
and sometimes they come back when you least expect it, years later, even, and there's this sudden rush of relief like there you are, there you are, even though you barely knew each other.
there's a strange kind of love to it. i don't know you and i want to hold your hand across miles and time zones and oceans. i can still see the imprint of you in this community you left. you don't anyone will notice or care when you're gone, but we notice and we care and we wish you well.
i hope you're all okay out there. i hope the sun is shining on your face and you are breathing deeply. i miss you.
