Introducing: Introverted Eorzea!

Remember the post I created a few weeks ago that asked about your thoughts/experiences on being shy, introverted, or socially anxious in FFXIV?

Remember I said I was working on a project around this topic?

This is part of that project - a brand new YouTube channel with a forthcoming series of videos created for and about the shy, introverted, and socially anxious players of Eorzea!

Sorry this took me time to get off the ground, I had to work up the courage to record my own voice, and that was tough as a shy person! XD

It's for that reason, in fact, that this is my very first ever YouTube video:

This first video is short and mostly an intro to myself and the channel's purpose as I was setting up and exploring video formats. But future videos will tackle topics such as:

What exactly is being introverted? Is that different from being shy or socially anxious?

What is social anxiety? How does that effect being a part of an online community, such as FFXIV?

Why do we feel anxious and how can we handle it when we do?

How do we help other people who struggle with social anxiety?

Tagged by none, it's just been a while since i've done personal post :D;; And I happened to have time right now!

📖 Reading: Lord of the Mysteries/Lord of Mysteries - The series are chonky and I'm waiting on vol3 to come out this month ~ If anyone wants victoran, steampunk cosmic horrors mystery series, this one got me into a choke hold!

🎵Last song: It's been my summer jam rn ...it's such a vibe.

📺Currently watching: From - Season 4 ... one episode per week is diabolical.

🎬Last movie: Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris (2022) - it was loaded with charm and just gave me mega warm fuzzies!

Current obsession: Lord of the Mysteries/FF14/Plants! LotM is real brain candy for me. It has a lot of genres I love mixed into one! Plus it's in english so I get to sponge new words xD; It's a very long series ...for anyone who wants to dip into it.

FF14, I've been leveling alt jobs though with summer coming, I may not want to be close to my laptop all that much xD;; Got reaper and viper both to 100 and pictomancer is on the way to 100 soon! :D

I have a lot of plants on my balcony that I've been trying to be a better plant mom to! Repotting, trimming and all that :D I've been reading more and more how to take better care of them. We recently had a flower market open for a week and of course I bought 3 new babies to add to my family xD; I'm familiar with them so i know how to take care of them thankfully

Currently working on: Finishing commissions... which proved to be a lot more time consuming than I had anticipated... xD;; I'm forever bad at measuring my energy bars. Personal projects? I got nothing right now, feeling a bit burned out from picking big projects so I want to try something small, not sure what though! Like... very small project... >_>;;

it's bean, working hard on their singer-songwriter career! theyve got the writing part down, but turns out actually being an artist requires a lot more, like being away from home a lot, arguing with producers about your vision, and, yknow. actually performing. they havent had much practice with that last part yet, but hey, working on it!

Seeing a bunch of writing posts lately like “it’s okay if you only wrote a couple hundred words today :))”

As someone with a full time job, diverse hobbies, and a commitment to proper rest/self care, I would amend that. It’s okay if you don’t write anything at all on MOST DAYS OF YOUR LIFE. You’re still a writer if you’re passionate about creating stories and putting words on paper when time allows. Life is busy and full of possibility, and that’s beautiful, actually. Kill the hypercapitalist productivity demon in your head.

I was looking through my artwork stash, and seeing what I needed framing to put on the walls in the PC room and I found this book from a friend. I still have it, I have tried my best to keep it in the best condition through all of my moves across the world and back.

I remembered there is this little comment at the back that made me tear up a little. "And remember, let your creativity soar, regardless of how silly your ideas may seem. Who knows what they may lead to!"

We may not talk as much, but I just know you are cheering me on and supporting me through every creative endeavor. I thought I would share, for those who may need the small reminder. :) @high-stakes-gambler @dennydraws
