CHARLIE VICKERS as HALBRAND/SAURON THE RINGS OF POWER 2.01 Elven Kings Under the Sky
He is such a badass here
The Lord of the Rings ➯The Two Towers
EREGION
"Been following production rumors for the last couple months. There is this blog who gave accurate information regarding season 2 before there was even a trailer for it!! I’m so excited for season 3. Still can’t believe they are finally adding 16+ age rating for Sauron orgy scene. Those Numenorians sure know how to worship… Just wish it was 18+ so we’d have chance to see some dicc."
I'm sorry...
“It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.”
LOTRWEEK is back for 2025! Mark your calendars for a week-long event to share our love and creativity for Lord of the Rings. This year, it will be from 22nd to 28th September. Prompts coming soon!
Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
Does anyone else think that this man is the definition of hot? 🥵 ever since I was a kid, like very little, since I started watching these movies, I have been crushing on him and still am lol. #sendhelp
"If Aragorn survives this war, you will still be parted. If Sauron is defeated, and Aragorn made king and all that you hope for comes true, you will still have to taste the bitterness of mortality. Whether by the sword or the slow decay of time, Aragorn will die. And there will be no comfort for you. No comfort to ease the pain of his passing. He will come to death, an image of the splendor of the kings of men in glory undimmed before the breaking of the world." The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) dir. peter jackson
Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) and Halbrand/Sauron (Charlie Vickers) in Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power 1x08 (Alloyed, 2022).
Congratulations to the 'special visualeEffects team' for their Emmy nomination! I can't say enough how proud I am whenever The Rings of Power and the people involved in the show are recognized.
Also: I think Aragorn gets a bad reputation now because so many lesser franchises have tried to imitate his archetype without understanding why he works. In the original movies he’s just a big gentle sad guy with a sword, who knows he’s not the real hero of the story and dedicates himself to supporting those gay little hobbits. The aragorn knockoffs are not his fault
I had to share this... I'm currently reading Fellowship and on page 474 Galadriel reveals the timeless and intense connection between her and Sauron. Ending with "still the door is closed", which iykyk, the door between them being opened or closed is a debate they have in ROP. This just proves even more that the show is rooted in these stories. Not to mention the several references to Celebrimbor, and Sauron tricking him into making the rings of power, and the fall of Eregion etc. This is awesome!! 🤭
