Happy The Missile Knows Where It Is Monday
I donât know what this post is trying to tell me
the missile knows where it is
it knows this because it knows where it isnât
if youâre offline or away and i message you something (like a link to a meme or a picture or w/e) honestly just assume that iâm just leaving it there for when you get back and not expecting you to answer straight away. i donât need you to respond with âhey, sorry, i wasnât at the computer!â or anything. i was leaving u a gift for later.
This also applies if youâre online and just donât want to or have the energy to deal with humans in the moment. Just because we have the ability to reply in real time does not mean we have the obligation.
im like a cat i drag the posts to ur doorstep and if ur not there itâs ok, the post will be on ur porch for later

Why is it that every time I google something like "Are olives poisonous to cats" the top results are always like "Fun fact: Cats are carnivores! This means that they eat meat. There is no reason to include olives in a cat's diet. You should feed your cat cat food, which is dry or wet food especially designed for cats. You can purchase this at a store." like is there a single person alive on the planet who's googled "Are blueberry muffins safe for cats" because they're planning on switching their cat to a muffin-only diet??? No, I'm asking because the little bastard somehow popped open the packet while I was putting away the groceries and dragged one under the couch before I could react and now I need to know if I should call the after-hours vet. "Cats should not eat spaghetti." NO SHIT, SHERLOCK!!!! "Try to keep human food away from cats." i live in a studio apartment with a completely silent and permanently hungry apex predator who has the intelligence of a toddler and the desperate Machiavellian cunning of a creature who spent his formative months on the streets. He can already open doors and he is this đ close to learning how to open the microwave. He is stronger than me and covered in knives. So im gonna do my best but for the moment i just need you to tell me whether this yoghurt is going to kill my son y/n
I've been using the pet poison hotline's poison list cause it has a search function. It also tells you whether something is mildly, moderately, or severely toxic which can be very handy! It doesn't contain like everything but it might be a good place to start, it also includes plants for fellow houseplant lovers <3
Explore Pet Poison HelplineÂźs vast knowledge on poisons by reviewing our pet poison list. Explore our top 10 poison and holiday poison lists
For plants specifically, thereâs also a wildly detailed set of posts and listings about toxicity on the old, wonderful, Plants Are the Strangest People blog
actually pigs shouldn't be at pride even outside of uniform. fuck those guys
if you decide to become a police officer then that outweighs any other marginalised identity you can rustle up like. not sorry, who asked you to willingly become a pig
I have heard of black people warning their kids that the race of a police officer is cop and you should not expect solidarity from them. The same applies to other types of minorities.
The sexuality of a police officer is cop.
The gender of a police officer is cop.
When you become the enforcer and protector of capital, you are making the deal to be slightly favored by the system over others like you, in exchange for being its servant. Your solidarity is with the system that you serve, even if it hates you.
If you want solidarity with those the system hates, you cannot be the system's servant and defender.
this one is for Juniper Blessing.

Forgotten By History
Female firefighters at Pearl Harbor (1941).
Donna Tobias - the first woman to graduate from the US Navyâs Deep Sea Diving School in 1975.
Brave women of the Red Cross hitting the beach at Normandy.
Dottie Kamenshek was called the best player in womenâs baseball and was once recruited to play for a menâs professional team.
Kate Warne - Private Detective. Born in New York City, almost nothing is known of her prior to 1856 when, as a young widow, she answered an employment advertisement placed by Alan Pinkerton. She was one of four new agents the Pinkerton Detective Agency hired that year and proved to be a natural, taking to undercover work easily. She had taken part in embezzlement and railroad security cases when in 1861 the Pinkertons developed the first lead about an anti-Lincoln conspiracy.
Catherine Leroy, female photographer in Vietnam.
The three women pictured in this incredible photograph from 1885 â Anandibai Joshi of India, Keiko Okami of Japan, and Sabat Islambouli of Syria â each became the first licensed female doctors in their respective countries. The three were students at the Womenâs Medical College of Pennsylvania; one of the only places in the world at the time where women could study medicine.
Female Samurai Warrior - Onno-Bugeisha - Female warrior belonging to the Japanese upper class. Many women engaged in battle, commonly alongside samurai men. They were members of the bushi (samurai) class in feudal Japan and were trained in the use of weapons to protect their household, family, and honour in times of war.
One of the most feared of all London street gangs from the late 1880âs was a group of female toughs known as the Clockwork Oranges. They woulde later inspire Anthony burgessâ most notorious novel. Their main Rivals were the All-female âthe Forty Elephantsâ gang.
Maureen Dunlop de Popp, Pioneering female pilot who flew Spitfires during Second World War. She joined the Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA) in 1942 and became one of a small group of female pilots who were trained to fly 38 types of aircraft.
In 1967, Kathrine Switzer was the first woman to run the Boston marathon. After realizing that a woman was running, race organizer Jock Semple went after Switzer shouting, âGet the hell out of my race and give me those numbers.â However, Switzerâs boyfriend and other male runners provided a protective shield during the entire marathon. The photographs taken of the incident made world headlines, and Kathrine later won the NYC marathon with a time of 3:07:29.
Women have always participated in fighting; whether that is in war or in breaking down barriers that have been set in front of us by society.Â
Take inspiration from our foremothers and continue breaking down barriers, wherever you are.Â

nothing to do with my blog but how could I not reblog this???
Hey, quick point - your image for Onna Bugeisha is actually a kabuki actress. I know, because Iâve used the image for presentations on the subject. In her stead may I introduce Niijima Yae, aka Yamamoto Yaeko.
Born in 1845.
In 1868, fought at the Battle of Aizu. Her father was the gunnery instructor, and she was trained on a Spencer carbine, which she used to defend the castle.
1871, divorced her husband and went to Kyoto to find her brother, who had been taken as a POW.
1871-1898, remarried a western-educated man, co-founded two schools (including a girlsâ school), became a certified Tea Master and flower arranging instructor.
1890, following the death of her husband, became a Red Cross nurse. Served in the First Sino-Japanese War (1894-5) leading a team of 40 nurses, and the Russo-Japanese War (1904). Decorated for her service in both.
Iâm proud of people adding their own knowledge to this.
âbut adding women to [insert title] isnât accurate!â women existed back then too, baby. history was just written by men, for men
as a fan of history I love this so much, it is so important to share the women who were involved in history doing amazing, powerful rhings.
with all that being said, I got so fucking horny when I saw the pearl harbor firefighter women I ak shaking, oh my god I um, wow wtf.
Looove seeing women wearing older work clothing as itâs an interest of mine but I hardly ever see the clothing on anyone but men
idc about the clothes, it is about their expressions, their energy, that is an image of women in the heat of battle, warriors fighting the most noble fight of all, the fight against fire, the desperation, the will, the fact they have to work together to control the pressure from the hose, the way it is leaking, wow, is it hot in here?
Dude... allow me to add to your trove.
I have a folder of these on my phone... I'm not sure what that says about me!
This has always bothered me too and it didn't make sense until someone older told me that when they were growing up "scare quotes" were used the way we used *asterisks* or ALL CAPS for emphasis
Edit: Oh. The fake kid's book is... dark.
future archaeologists will know you were (not) a boy
i've seen countless kind and emotional replies in the year or so since i posted this comic, but this particular tag set has squeezed me unlike any other. thanks

yeah i like to give my blessing to the most pathetic looking weak little knight at the tournament. she canât even look me in the eye when i give her my flower and she stutters out that sheâll do her best or something of the like. i think its funny when she has to cry and beg my forgiveness and i get to say âsuch a shame, i suppose my hand in marriage will have to go to someone elseâŠâ and then i get to hear her whimper like a dog. ive done this like 6 times alrea-
did she just win.
I shall prepare a stew for the wedding! Extra salt!
wait wait wait stew goblin wait
get ready for the wedding
one year into the marriage
we gotta get back into revolving bookcases i'm begging
