I’m back, what’d I miss? 🙃
“Gods, you humans really grind up plants to use for potions, and even food? Disgusting, how would you feel if I used ground up bones?” “The same. I mean, we do that too.”
Shrine of the Lesser Known - Khaos
Shrine of the Lesser Known is a personal project in which I research various lesser known deities and share my findings with the community. The first deity on my list is Khaos/Chaos.
"Verily at the first Khaos (Chaos, the Chasm) [Air] came to be, but next wide-bosomed Gaia (Gaea, Earth), the ever-sure foundations of all the deathless ones who hold the peaks of snowy Olympos . . . From Khaos (Chaos) came forth Erebos (Darkness) and black Nyx (Night)."
Khaos, also known as Chaos or Aēr, is the first primordial deity in Hellenic believes and the progenitor for all other deities. Before Khaos there was nothing and after Khaos came all the other primordial gods, titans, gods, humans and so on. She is considered the endless void, the abyss, the chasm of air, the lower atmosphere which surrounds the earth - both the invisible air and the gloom of fog and mist. She is also believed to be the goddess of birds and one of the goddesses of fate.
When it comes to the gender of Khaos, the sources have mixed opinions. Overall, she is a sexless deity, referred by both she/her and he/him pronouns in various sources. In more modern media, the pronouns they/them have also been adopted when referring to any representation of Khaos.
Khaos has only two children, Nyx and Erebus. The other primordial gods came after Khaos, but not born from Khaos.
The information on Khaos is few and hard to come by. Since she mostly represented the endless void of nothingness from which everything else was born, the ancient greeks were hesitant to worship her. But in modern times, the general opinion has changed and, although still small, there is a community of Khaos worshippers (using the word "community" loosely since there is nothing formaly organised).

As a witch, graveyard etiquette involves a deep reverence for the spirits and the energy of the space. It's crucial to approach with a sense of humility and respect, acknowledging the sacredness of the grounds. Understanding that graveyards are places of rest and reflection, witches often attune themselves to the energies present, seeking to harmonize rather than disrupt. It's also important to be mindful of the spiritual significance of the area and to honor the memories of those who are laid to rest there. Here are some key points to keep in mind to ensure your visit is both respectful and meaningful.

99% of ramblers quit right before they conceive of a coherent thought. KEEP TALKING
I feel so disconnected and different from other people. Like I don’t connect the same way they do. I am strange and out of place in this world

Being bipolar:
you're fine until you're not, but also
you aren't fine until you are
I never understood the disturbed speech symptom of psychosis until it started happening to me. it's like your brain pressed the middle button on the text prediction on the keyboard while you're talking or typing or whatever but it makes sense to you
I stay awake until I am unhealthily exhausted. it’s oddly nice and familiar to just sink into the mattress and almost become nothing.
Being medicated doesn't mean becoming normal.
There's this trope I've seen in media, mentally ill that take meds and suddenly become neurotypical. To me this was a harmful fantasy, thinking that medicine means cure, and a fast one.
The reality of meds is often disappointing. You still find your limitations and differences. Lots of underground symptoms and sensitivities don't ever vanish.
Being bipolar myself it often left me perplexed, the fact that I was receiving correct treatment, but still struggled. Not with acute episodes, just a baby version of previous symptoms.
I'm trying to accept bipolar as my personal disability. I figured that medicine is my support, like a cane could be for those with physical disabilities. It means I'm still not like the rest and I will always struggle, but man is it nice to have some help...
God if you exist prove it by killing me in my sleep tonight
i don’t want to take antipsychotics, what if i lose my sparkle?
the sparkle: i’m being gang stalked by the cia. they put a chip in my brain
It should be said more often that bipolar disorder and many other serious mental disorders CANNOT be cured.
Which means struggling with symptoms WHILE medicated is actually expected and common.
MANAGING symptoms does not mean being free from illness.
Mental disorders are more often than not chronic, so NORMALISE recovery that is not linear and symptoms-free.
Lastly, comparing yourself and your functioning with those around you only SEEMS to work because our conditions are invisible.
I destroy myself to make me feel better but in the end I always feel worse.
