It annoys me so bad every time I log on here and see some sanctimonious post about how people are stupid liberals for hating AI. What is motivating you to come on here and defend AI besides wanting to be a contratian that has the most "correct" Marxist analysis of technology or some bullshit? What material benefit does defending AI hold for you people? Can you really not understand that regardless of the issues inherent in defending IP and individualizing climate change, AI is serving as a generally destructive force in our society, which can be pretty clearly gleaned by the fact that fascist movements and giant tech companies are pushing its excessive use as much as possible? Kids in school can barely write an assignment on their own anymore, let alone engage in the sort of critical discourse that has led many of us to our leftist beliefs. AI is undeniably contributing to the rise of fascism by making youth easier to indoctrinate. Do you really think defending AI is a helpful use of your time as a communist? Or do you just like being smug on the internet.
