Zealot (working title) is a top-down action adventure game with a focus on combat, exploration and worldbuilding - being developed by Prime Cut Studio, a newly founded games studio started by a couple of friends and myself.

Black Sludge visual mockups. Still in the process of figuring out the "look" of the short, but making strides every day. Making a concentrated effort of coming up with concise yet powerful compositions, and letting the color and shadow shapes dictate the mood of the scene.

I'm usually very reticent about sharing my animation work, but it's time to change that. For my senior project I'm going to be animating a short set in the world of Black Sludge. This is the first style test I've done, and while I feel like it fails visually, it was an important step in understanding my own animation ability, time management, and workflow efficiency.
