Help a cat out with vet bills?
After unexpectedly getting a cat and medicating him for an infected wound, I found a mass growing right on his throat. Its freely movable so I think it can be removed, but I have NO savings left. He needs to be seen by a vet ASAP.

Today, I chose violence against outdoor cats
rly wanted to make a lil thing based on @official-darkforest‘s second death au! I’ve had something very similar in mind for morningstar, as in her being reunited with her grandmother and brother. She’s almost apprentice sized because when she started to go downhill was when Cloudyeyes left the clan, which was shortly before she was apprenticed.

@hop-per I haven't been active on this blog in ages but how can I pass up talking about this story???
Basically the circumstances surrounding Morningstars death are slightly complicated and while the branch killed her it was this whole chaotic and grand situation of an entire tree falling on her.
Blossomclans camp was constructed around a magnolia tree, obviously it was very pretty with those petals falling every year and the yearly cycle had importance to the clan with a general tradition to aim for kittens births during the time the flowers would begin to show up on the tree.
But when Morningstar betrayed the clan, during the fire caused by a lighting strike (which is sort of implied to have been caused by a dark forest cat that had been manipulating morningstar), the tree had been hit. Her former deputy, Spottedbird, and Blazeflight, a young warrior, were fighting her in the camp while the clan fled, being overpowered because Morningstar is an absolute BEAST of a cat. Think that picture of that giant cream Maine coon, but it was more of a distraction anyways.
So the trees trunk having been absolutely obliterated, it was slowly bending over without anyone noticing. Until the loud snap and groaning of the wood indicated it was coming down.
The burning crown of the tree crashed down on the three cats and a branch broke Morningstars neck and partially impaled her, which is kept more clearly as eternal reminding to her betrayal. Spottedbird and Blazeflight managed to get out but not without Blaze sustaining major burn injuries and Spottedbird inhaling so much of the smoke that it ended up killing her not soon after the whole ordeal.
Her being killed by the tree her entire clan was built around instead of being consumed by the fire is just a small act of kindness from whatever force was watching over her. One that didn't extend to many members of the clan.
Even after this whole forgiveness thing she doesn't go to starclan. Not willingly at least. She lingers in the old territory as a ghost, punishing herself for destroying what she swore to protect. She has sworn that she will remain there until she is forgotten.
Cloudyeyes occasionally visits her, often just sitting in the charred remains of the camp with her estranged granddaughter. They rarely talk but the presence soothes Morningstars tormented soul if only for a little while.

I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT FACT FOR LITERALLY ONLY THE WARRIOR CATS FANDOM SPECIFICALLY

Just to make a statement: I post about Warrior Cats, which can be seen as glorifying outdoor cats running wild.
I’d like to point out, however, that according to Warrior Cats, if you leave your cat out unsupervised, they will not only act as an invasive species and decimate indigenous bird and small mammal populations, they are at risk of injury, trauma, disease, violent death, and finding out that other cats can be racist

In case you unaware, it has recently come to my attention that one of the author’s writing under the pen name of Erin Hunter, Gillian Philip, has loudly announced her position as anti-trans and a terf. If you don’t know what this means, I hope you take some time to educate yourself on the subject, but basically it means that she actively speaks out against Trans people, especially Trans women. She has been expressing these harmful beliefs on her professional and personal twitter accounts and fighting/mocking her LGBT+ fans who have expressed their discomfort with her. This is horrible, unprofessional and should not be tolerated. I encourage as many people as possible to not interact with Philips directly, but to instead contact her employer, Working Partners at their e-mail: [email protected]
I have written them a letter myself and sent it to both Harper Collins and Working Partners and until this situation is handled appropriately, I do not plan on purchasing any more Erin Hunter books. Let Working Partners know that our voices need to be heard on matters of intolerance and harassment of children. We expect more from the authors and writing team of these series. I wanted to make a statement here since I know many of my followers don’t follow my twitter, but everyone in the community should be made aware sooner rather than later so that our voices can be heard on this. -Tennelle

Thanks to our swift action on this, and Working Partners quick response to the situation: Gillian Philip will no longer be writing as a Erin Hunter at Working Partners! People have started to get e-mail responses back from WP Link and she has been fired.
I’m hoping for an official public statement but in their e-mails they have said “Thank you so much for your email. The worlds created by Erin Hunter are meant to be inclusive for all readers, and we want to let you know that Gillian Philip will no longer be writing any Erin Hunter novels. Very best wishes.”

There are some badass warrior cats villains but when you think about it. They’re just cats. You or I could defeat literally any of the warriors villains just by putting on a pair of long work gloves, picking them up, and putting them in a cat carrier.

I just got really mad thinking about all the dying warrior cats rp servers I tried to revive and I'd like to just. ... Have some fun roleplaying for once instead of trying to manage the medicine cat, leader and deputy all at once because the people who own them just dropped them in the middle of an important scene.
