A trip to nowhere (2021)
Spiritual investigation through our mind.
Some town of Germany in 1966. It was my grandpa's picture during his master's scholarship from DAAD. Although he didn't finish his degree and decided to come back here because of homesickness and family (cause my uncle was born around that year), the photos are still here. It's like the memories which cease to exist as he already left this world. As a grandchild, I tried to capture all of his memories left behind, especially the photos from his memories that he didn't mention that much before he died.

*Note: babbling content alert cause I'm not even sure what I wrote below.* This is not just a visual but rather a poem, a lyrical image. At this crucial moment of Thailand's politics, though there are protests, daily lives still continue without exhausting. Sex then is a moment to escape the anxiety to come, the future that may never exist, or exist without precaution as it always is. The protest then has since begun in the bedroom; we made love with our flesh and bloods. We never really escape the politics since it's haunting the bed. It haunts you and me, us. The liberation must also come from the bedroom. The sexual tension never released if we didn't embrace the anxiety to come, we never escape the existence of self and others.

My first digital art for a while, I didn't have time much to use the pen lately. I came across the photo of hanging man and it resonates with me much how my life has been during the pandemic, and right now being unemployed (again haha but that's fine). The hanged man means your life has been in stagnation for a while, you cannot move around as much as you want to. We have been delayed our lives because of covid-19, we did everything we could only inside a house. Even when we are working, we work from home. People keep saying working makes you stay alive, I'd say it'd rather be dead but inside.

Right now, the government tried to harm the protestors. My fan (?) or one that followed me on this page might have some clues that I always support the democracy, human rights, and gender equality, as I posted all of sex-positive, pro-democracy, as well as anti-monarchy (a little bit, but I am fucking low key with that). A system that oppressed us must be destroyed. I condemn the government, military, and people who associated with the act of violence towards the protestors and our rights to protest.
