Entering the cameo contest for the lovely lion webcomic I Hope So! I may be making another entry at some point, but I really like Cloud a lot and wanted to get her design down first. The top image is meant to be more “comic friendly”, while the bottom image is a bit rougher - I like the look of it, but it’d also be harder to incorporate into a comic cameo. ^^’

Cloud (no relation to a certain weather-themed Traveler family) is something of a liminal being - too social to be a full-time lone Traveler, too prone to wandering to ever fully belong in a “proper” pride. She fills the loneliness and boredom up with stories - she seems to have made it her life’s mission to remember, and tell, as many folktales about the Great King, the Traveler, and all of the interesting lions of the past as she can possibly fit in her head. Her memory, especially for stories, is excellent, though unfortunately she comes off as a bit of a ditz, often spacing out for long periods of time or missing bits of conversations. However, she is, as mentioned, very social - polite and kind, but very forward, even with strangers, which has gotten her into trouble on pride territory before.

That said, she’s been known to fall into prides that will accept her on a temporary basis. While her asexuality prevents her from ever providing a King with heirs (and what King would have heirs with a flight-risk once-Traveler anyway?), she’s happy to take on any other pride jobs in exchange for company and comfort. Her favorite job is cub-watching - she likes the little rugrats, and can keep them entertained for hours with her plethora of folktales.

A skintight outfit isn't really practical for a Boston winter, so Opal's made some adjustments to her hero outfit for the season! Her gloves are open-palm and fireproofed. I'm considering keeping that collar/those pauldrons, they look really cool.
