The cabin of Nick Burkhardt's sedan reeked of coffee, hazelnut creamer (blegh, no offense) and whatever was included on an Everything bagel that sat half eaten on the dash. Another stake out, suspect was definitely wesen related, held out on taking their lunch break. Nick kept a sharp look out, taking the mini binoculars from Hank, honing in on the front doors of a department store up ahead.
"Anything?"
"Nothing yet. Should be coming out soon for her lunch break though, its just after one." Hank replied with a sigh and took a drink of his plain black coffee. Not understanding why one would need creamer if the coffee was any good, let alone hazelnut.
Yuck.
Hank had had quite the time adjusting to the way his life was heading as of late, after thinking he was losing his mind, seeing things he thought weren't really there, but were. His relationship with Nick growing each day over the last six or so years, finding out about what the world was ireally like, hidden gems behind hazy black curtains, bumps in the night, creepers around every corner, wesen were there wide out in the open for those with eyes to see. Things would never be normal again. The veil had been lifted and in a way so were his spirits. He'd come to an understanding that not everything is black and white. The grays in all their colors were there waiting to be seen.
Including what he was seeing now.
Hank squinted and leaned forward a bit, startling Nick.
"You something?"
"Not sure. Lemme see those real quick again." Nick passed the binoculars over then reached for his bagel, while Hank adjusted the lenses.
No. It couldn't be.
Could it?
Hank shook his head, the badge he proudly wore on his chain jingle slightly as he narrowed his eyes once more.
"You've got to be kidding me."
"What is it?" Nick asked in between bites. "Is it her?"
"Oh it's her alright," Hank answered. "Just not the her you're thinking about."
"What do you mean?"
"Didn't think I'd see Y/N back in Portland anytime soon. Damn she looks good." Hank mused, looking further and watching the woman look both ways before lightly jogging across the street, clutching her purse.
"Y/N? You mean your Y/N? The ex-wife that got away, the real love of your life, best you ever got and messed up? that Y/N?" Nick asked, curious but intrigued when Hank had explained his failure. One of four.
Hank sighed and pulled down the binoculars. "That's the one."
"How longs' it been since you last saw her?"
Hank clicked his teeth. "At least three years."
Nick thumped him in the shoulder. "Well go talk to her!"
"What? No way. Are you crazy?"
"Hank," Nick started already taking the keys out of the ignition. "She was your wife once. Just say hey, long time no see. What's the problem? maybe it's a sign."
"A sign that I'm not husband material? get a grip, man. The problem is she's intimidating. Get on her bad side and you might as well shoot yourself in the foot, you'd be better off!" Hank explained but kept watch as she stopped outside of the department store their suspect was in.
"Come on I'll come with you, give you some back up."
"I don't know man."
"Aw come on, it won't be that bad. What are partners for, huh?" Nick made his case sound simple.
Hank smoothed down his shirt, fixed his badge, picked his lips and checked himself out, as much as he could in the side view mirror. Nick gave him a sheepish albeit upbeat look.
His hands were getting clammy and he was starting to regret this little side quest, his collar was getting tighter with each stride he and Nick made.
You got this.
"Excuse me miss, are you lost?" Hank asked, pulling back his hand, thinking it better to not touch you so suddenly.
"Hank griffin; is that you?" You said and slowly turned around to face the duo. "Well well. I knew at some point I'd run into you… just didn't think it would be twenty minutes off the plane."
"You look great."
"I feel great! I just dumped a cheater."
"Someone had the balls to cheat on you?! sounds like you were dating a clown."
"And the worst part is he wasn't even funny! It wasn't meant to last, he was too involved in his newest mania of golf. No time for me, just the green and between someone else's legs apparently."
Your eyes are brighter than hank remembered, shining orbs in a wasteland of concrete.
"Must've been a long flight from Morocco."
"Morocco?!" You balked and laughed loudly. "Oh man I haven't lived in years! Wow that's like a lifetime ago. No no, I moved to Norway after that, got transferred to Italy. Came back to the states about a year ago."
"Wow. You've always lead a pretty exciting life. What are you doing back in Portland? possibly moving back to the old stomping grounds?"
"Thinking about it. But I'm really here for my sisters' wedding."
"Maya? Your kid sister Maya?" Hank almost screeched, in disbelief that a young woman he knew was a brother in law to was just that. A kid. Was now of marrying age.
"You know a lot of Maya's? you didn't marry one did ya'?" You ribbed with a straight face.
"No no. I just… I can't believe it."
"It only took Theo nine years to pop the question. "
"Your parents must be thrilled." Hank said, they were always warm to him, which made it a lot harder when you two divorced after three years.
"Are you kidding? Their over the moon about him. They love him as much as they love you!"
"Loved. I think you meant loved." Hank said with his head down, as if he were being scolded.
"Ha! They still talk about you. Actually I'm pretty sure you have a stack of card and presents in their garage waiting for you. They heard you moved and haven't gotten around to getting your address." You answered flippantly.
"Oh it's uh--"
"Are you gonna introduce me to your friend here or am I just imaging things and he's not really there?" You smiled and looked over at a very patient, very quiet Nick.
"Oh my god, Nick I am so sorry!"
"I don't blame you, Hank." Nick smiled back and stuck out his hand giving you a formal, yet authoritative hand shake. "Hi. Hello. I'm Nick Burkhardt, Hank's partner. We're detectives for the PPD."
Your eyes landed on Hank's as you squealed with delight, a grin on your face and you lunged out and hugged him tightly. "You made detective?! That's amazing Hank. All those late nights I ate dinner alone worked out after all!"
"Yeah. One sacrifice for another."
"I'll say," you said with a shrug, as blunt as ever Hank thought but even though your words were a harsh they were true. You hardly saw each other even living under the same roof. It wasn't exactly messy but it wasn't pristine either. "Not that I'm not having fun, but if you'll excuse me, I have to buy some ioddly specific pair of heels for the rehearsal dinner. Maya is desperate I find them before Sunday. Who gets married on a Thursday anyway?" You shook the cobwebs from your head and did a small curtsey. "Detective Burkhardt, nice to meet you. Hank; always a pleasure."
You patted Hank's shoulder and started to walk off but stopped in your tracks when Hank called out after you, startling himself.
"Hey um, since you'll be in town for a few days, maybe I can take you out to dinner? or drinks? catch up?"
You frowned and tilted your head. "Isn't that what we just did?"
"Oh."
"I'm fucking with you Hank, jeez. Here. Gimme your hand." You took a pen out of your purse, put the cap and kept it in between your teeth while you took his hand in yours. "This is my new number and I'm staying at this hotel. You know it?"
You turned at looked at him, so close yet so far away.
"Oh I'll find it."
You patted his shoulder against with a genuine smile. "Good boy. Seven thirty should work."
And with that you were gone, the detectives watching you slip through the department store door and out of sight. Hank let out a breath he didn't realize, until nick clapped on the back of the head, to breathe again.
"Dude! You didn't tell me she was that intense." Nick exasperated, wiping a hand across his brow.
"Sometimes it's easier to show then tell. She's not wesen but sometimes I swear she morphs into an animal. She's always been that way," Hank thought out loud. "One of the many reasons I married her."
"You got a laundry list for shit like that?" Nick joked as the walked back to the car to do what they were sent here to do in the first place.
"You ever here of the List of Jericho?"
…
"That was not my fault by the way!" Hank laughed and covered his mouth at the bar he chose, one of your old haunts downtown. You pointed at him. "Its not that funny, Hank."
"The look on your face! I wish we had better cell phones back then, that would've been priceless!" Hank exclaimed, covering his mouth at the memory of you running up the stairs of his old apartment, waving your one hand manically as you bum rushed the stairs, almost two at a time, if only you didn't have to pee so badly. Your other hand pinching your crotch as you rushed past him, knocking him over into the door which left a dent he had to fix before you two moved in together.
"Oh yeah it's all fun and games. Laugh it up big boy." You took a drink of your Merlot, chuckling to yourself. He thought you looked even better in this low lighting, the deep blood red walls, the gothic decor mixed with the art nouveau sconces gave the atmosphere of being in a different era.
"Holy hell! I haven't been called that in years." Hank sputtered and grabbed a napkin.
"Takes you back, huh?" You smirked, playfully this time. As if you needed anymore courage. The booze was just an after thought. You two had gotten along and the divorce was in fact mutual, too fast too furious, it came with a price you both paid. You enjoyed giving Hank shit, keep him on his toes which kept the spark of you alive in his heart since you first met.
"All the way." Hank returned with a grin of his own.
….
He pulled up to the front of the hotel and hour later, sobered up enough on your end to not completely fall down the front steps after exchanging stories and old encounters on the drive back. Hank was just fine, which was odd, he felt warm and fuzzy but was not from alcohol.
He held your wrist while you dug out the keyboard to your room. "Ya' know Hank, I had a good time tonight. Felt nice. I always felt safe with you."
"Yeah, me too." Hank hung around the door, shifting his weight like this was a first date, watching you, memorizing your face one last time. He thought about how you were about to jet set off to who knows where this time or when he'd see you again if at all. He was about to voice it but at the last moment when you got out the key with a successful and cute little whoop, he changed his mind. "Well get upstairs in once piece and if you need a ride to the airport, just let me know. Good night Y/N," Hank started down the steps then paused for a moment. "Oh hey, tell Maya congratulations for me will ya'?"
"Why don't you tell her yourself." It wasn't a question.
"What do you mean?" He asked, furrowing his brow.
"Wanna' be my plus one? my ex isn't gonna' use it. I'm sure they'd all love to see you." You smiled and half shrugged. You looked beautiful beneath that lighting. "Just a little food for thought."
"Are you sure?" Hank was taken aback.
"You wouldn't be imposing if that's what you're thinking. I'll text you tomorrow to see what say you." You gave him a little wave, winked and made your way into the lobby, leaning on the wall of the elevator bank at the left side. Hank smiled and if he weren't already tad inebriated he might've clicked his heels. Though the risk, he thought as he took the stairs one at a time, would not only hurt his knees but the thought of landing wrong and bust his shit would be embarrassing. Nick would never let him live it down.
Better not.
….
And just like that, you were right. Hank straightened his suit one more time, tucking the wedding gift (a handy food processor he found most useful, being a bachelor for the last several years) under his arm as he made his way up the grassy hill towards the venue you had texted him two days ago.
The lights, the music, the sounds of laughter from young to old. Hank smiled recognizing more than just a few faces. He found the table stacked with wrapped presents and a basket full of cards. He patted it one last time before scanning the room for you.
"Well well, I thought I heard a rumor of a Griffin sighting." A heavy hand clamped onto his shoulder, he turned around to see your father's smiling face. A few more wrinkles and a little more gray but still the same.
"Mr. Y/L/N. Its good to see you." Hank shook his hand, still firm as ever.
"Oh stop it. We're still family, son, even if you aren't wearing a ring."
"Look at you! Oh Hanky, Y/N mentioned your name and I about blew up!" Your mother chimed in, gathering hank into her arms. The nickname he hadn't heard in so long felt… nice. Even nicer when she rocked on her heels. He thought for a moment she might just squish his cheek!
"About? you turned into a damn banshee!" Your father joked, getting them all to laugh.
"Oh stop it, I kept it down. The neighbors didn't call the cops now did they?" Your mother stuck her tongue out after letting go of Hank.
"You know Hank, just between us, we wouldn't be opposed to you and Y/N giving it another shot. Just sayin'." Your father half whispered, looking around the little homecoming. "You'd have our blessing if you aren't seeing anyone these days."
"Ah, I don't think that would work out too well."
Your mother frowned. "Why not? I mean sure you two rushed into things and moved quickly but… you were so good together."
"Its not that it's just… I don't think I could manage and handle a long distance relationship like that." Hank admitted.
"Long distance?"
"Yeah. I was under the impression she wasn't hanging around long." Hank answered but maybe he had read the room wrong.
Your parents looked at each other than back to Hank which him curious and feel like he was about to crash into a brick wall.
"Oh. Really?"
"Yeah," Hank drawled out. "Is she hanging around or… extending her stay maybe?"
Your parents said nothing but sheepishly grinned.
"Maybe you should ask her." Your father said. "Now tell us Hank, how have you been? you look good, son."
"Very good in fact," you were suddenly at his side, the perfume you wore filling the space made Hank feel like he was in a dream. You looked incredible in your dress, make up was done by the gods it appeared. You smiled and made eyes at Hank, at his height now in your heels, you punched his shoulder. "Hank made Detective."
You were always his support system, stood up for him, made him feel like he could wrestle a bear. And win. He missed someone having his back like that.
"DETECTIVE?! Oh Hanky that's incredible news!" Your mother squealed and bear hugged him one more time for good measure.
"Proud of you, son." Your father gave him a firm handshake while you shook your head.
"Mom. You don't have to call him that."
"What? he'll always be Hanky to me, sorry." Your mom made another face at you in jest, taking your fathers' arm as they disappeared into the crowd, telling you both to get ready.
"Sorry about that." You said after your parents waved you two off and slipped into the wedding party.
" 's all right. Haven't heard that name in a long time. Brought me back." Hank said with a chuckle.
"Forgot how well you clean up. Sharp suit." You eyed him, asking him to do a quick little spin for you which Hank easily managed as he was getting to show odd for you. Spinning light on his feet in his dress shoes, feeling extra warm with that boost to his ego.
"Sheesh! Save some coolness for the rest of us will ya'?"
The crowd started to move and shift into gear, you squeezed his shoulder and told him what side to sit before heading off the get ready to walk down the aisle.
Even more so when the wedding started, watching you walk down the aisle with one of those groomsmen, you even winked as you passed by. Though the gesture was small, hidden, quiet; it felt like blasting static in Hank's ears. To the point he might even think about what your father had said. He needed to ask you.
You looked beautiful up there at the alter. And on the dance floor.
The music was carefully picked, a mix of both of the newly weds musical tastes which didn't make sense to Hank but there were free drinks and good food so who was he to complain?
"Hank! There you are. Please tell me I'm not the only feeling nostalgic right now?" You asked, carrying your glass of Aperol spritz, bumping him shoulder with your own before taking a drink.
Hank shot you a look of relief. "Thank God one of us said something. I was about to lose my mind," Hank laughed. "Feels like Deja Vu, most of the people here were at iour wedding!"
"I know! As soon as people started showing up, it felt like The Griffins 2.0!" You laughed and touched his arm, watching the other dancers show off their moves.
It was nice.
"Hey uh, can I ask you something?" Hank finally spoke after a few minutes of the father daughter dance out on the floor.
"Shoot."
"I was talking with your parents and they kinda' sorta' made it seem like you thinking of--"
Well that didn't last long! A drunkenly apologetic groomsmen had moved out of the way of a dancer and bumped right into you, as if in slow motion your hand flew forward, bright sparkling liquid came sloshing out, cleared the dance floor and your nice shoes and slid home onto Hank's pressed button down shirt. It stunned him. It stunned you. Your eyes as wide as saucers.
"Oh my god! Hank I am so sorry. That jerk off bumped right into me, oh no. Let me--"
"It's fine, Y/N, honestly." Said a now very sticky Hank.
"It's not fine at all, Hank! look at you. Oh my god, let's go into the kitchen and see if we can find something in there." You grabbed his wrist but stopped short, not making it even an inch as he stopped you.
"It's fine, Y/N, I have a spare in my car. I'll just go change." Hank explained.
"No Hank, I'm serious. Let me help, I'm such an idiot." You set the now empty glass down on one of the passing waiters with empty glasses. "Please."
"It's not your fault, it was an accident," but the earnest look in your eyes made up his mind. "If you really wanna help… hold my jacket for me while I change."
….
"I really am sorry, Hank." You said again like a broken record as you two walked down the grass to where the cars were parked. The music and lights and screeches of laughter and fun slipped away with each careful step. Might be mole or snake holes around. One can never be too careful.
"Will you stop apologizing? here, this is me. Hold that." Hank stopped beside his truck, beeping it from the key fob in his left pocket. He popped the trunk as the music changed from a dance song to a slower tone from what it sounded like coming from up the hill.
"How much is it? I'll buy you a new one." You said, folding his nice suit jacket over your arm.
"No you will not. I've got like ten of these at home, don't worry about it." Hank answered, dismissing your aid, he took apart the buttons of his pressed cream colored shirt with his back to you, some of your drink had even reached and bloomed across his under shirt. He shrugged and took that off too, grabbing the material from the back with both hands to pull of his head.
"I should go back in there and punch that guy." Narrowing your eyes back to the party in the distance.
"Lookin' to get arrested tonight?"
"You brought your handcuffs?" You snickered.
"I'm not on duty but that doesn't mean there ain't a pair in my glovebox." Hank fumbled around in a duffel he kept for such like these emergencies, moving some pants, shorts and basketball shorts out of the way, a pair of rolled up socks fell out at his feet. He grabbed it. Then he looked up. "What? you've seen me shirtless a million times."
Your eyes went wide, scanning his body as he stood in front of you.
"I know I just… you're just…"
"Just what?" Hank asked, this time it was him to narrow his eyes at you. Curious.
"You're… you're just thicker, than I remember." He maybe saw you lick your lips.
"Yeah yeah, I guess I have put on some pounds over the years I suppose." He patted his belly.
"It's not bad! I like it."
Hank jerked his head back, cracking it on accident. "What? you do?"
"Yeah. I mean, no offense, jacked you was very nice but this, what you got goin' on under there… you wear it well." You pointed, gesturing up and down with a sigh and a smile.
"Ya' know if I didn't know any better, Y/N, I'd think you were hitting on me." Hank tossed the socks back in the bag and finally fished out a spare white t shirt instead, he'd just put his jacket back on. He smiled when he caught you turn your face away, with a knowing look he smoothed down his shirt and shut the trunk, making you jump.
You cleared your throat but refused to look at him which made Hank smile wider. "Let's just get you dressed and back to the party." Shoving his jacket back to him, you turned on your heel and started walking back towards the reception.
"Are you moving back home?"
You stopped dead in your tracks before calling over your shoulder, just the delicate shape of your jaw, the way the gentle lighting from the outside lights, bulbs round and full of soft white against the green scenery. He would never get over your profile.
"What?"
"Before; I was asking you inside if you were moving back home, then I got doused with wine."
"I told you I was sorry!" You shouted and started walking back to the truck.
"I'm just fucking with you." Hank laughed, he served you right back from the few days prior.
You gave him a pointed look but smirked anyway before stopping in front of him, holding up the side of your dress not get grass stains on the silk. You hummed and shut your eyes. "The truth is… I lied. I wasn't fresh off the plane that day. I only stayed at that hotel for that night. Otherwise… I've been crashing with my parents for the last week. The apartment I'm renting won't be available 'til next Friday. I wanted to spoil myself and get out for a night on my own."
"Seriously? so you're like… back back." Now Hank was getting nervous, all veins firing off at once he thought he just might implode. Information poured in like a sieve. Your fathers' voice circled around his head like a halo.
"For the foreseeable feature." You opened your eyes then, locking in straight away on his. Made him even more nervous.
"Ya' know I never could lie to you. I missed you; a lot. Seeing you these last few days have done my head in! I don't know, all these feelings came rushing back and I looked for you, I looked for you in other women and only two held a match to what you meant to me. We were just too wild with our relationship, every turn just spurred us on and next thing I knew we were married for three years! I let you slip through the cracks, which is entirely my fault. All the late nights and sometimes, ino nights, always on the go, on-call. Like I told you when we got divorced, it was never a iyou issue. I threw myself at the job more than I held on to you. And I'm sorry. Again." There. He said it. The ghost that had haunted him for years was free.
"I missed you too, Hank." Even though you are outside, the air around you two is electric, a balance seems to have been restored in the universe. It's like a vacuum and he notices the way your attitude has shifted, firing on all cylinders as you cross the grass and close in on him leaning against his truck. You stopped right in front of him with a sigh he could see come from the weight of your shoulders.
"What are we doing?" You asked, shrugging your shoulders. The eye contact is a fever, he's losing his mind and he has iyou to thank.
"I don't know."
"Are we really going to do this again?" You ask, but the way you said it, felt like maybe you had already made your decision.
"I don't know, but what I do know is this," he moved and put his hands on your shoulders. "I'm in if you are."
You shook your head. "What are we doing?"
He didn't have an option to answer because you had closed the gap entirely! Your arms slung around his shoulders, holding on to him for dear life, chest to chest, you leaned forward and kissed him. Hank wrapped you in his arms, feeling his heart pounding so loud he thought for just a moment you could feel it. You hadn't kissed each other in over seven years but by the way you two had locked in, fitting your mouths together seamlessly, any passerby would be none the wiser. His fingers flexed over your back, holding on to you, never wanting to let you go again as he deepened the kiss.
"If we're doing this," you voice hiccupped as Hank moved his mouth to the side of your neck, "We gonna' need to speed this up."
"Why?" Hank grabbed your hip and pulled you in tighter.
"We're kinda' at a big event, remember?"
"Yeah yeah, they won't notice a thing." Hank smiled into the kisses he peppered over your skin.
You giggled and pulled your neck free from assault. "Hank. Maya is gonna' be looking for me at some point."
Hank rolled his eyes but smiled and knew the drill. "Fine fine. I'm taking my time with you later tonight."
"Tonight?!" You balked as he opened the back driver side door.
"Yeah, baby. I'm taking you home and making you mine one more time."
"Sure you got the stamina for that, big guy?" You said as you ducked under his arm, receiving a quick slap to your ass in return.
"You're about to find out."
Making out with you used to be a treasured past time event, one kiss would turn into two which then in turn would have you groping each other and sucking each others tongues as if your lives depended on it. Hank shivered the second your hand graced his thigh, giving it a squeeze. He could feel the back of neck begin to sweat, breathing in your perfume when you reached up to touch his face.
You looked at him in a way that made him feel like he was floating and in a weird sense, he sort of was. You made him feel light on his feet, stroking over his cheek bone, slinking your hand around the nape of his neck and brought his mouth to yours. He opened his mouth right away, holding your face in his hands as you made out in the back of his truck. He moved closer, scooting over as you took the lead and gathered up the bottom of your dress to your hips, careful of your feet, mindful to not scratch the back of the seats with the bottom of your heels. You straddled his lap, placing your hands on the headrest of the seat.
You pressed your forehead to his. "This was not on this years' bingo card was it?" You joked, bouncing when Hank laughed out loud.
"Absolutely not," Hank kissed your cheek then your lips. "But I ain't complaining, baby."
He kissed you harder, holding the back of your head with one hand while the other palmed the outside of your thigh, getting a good feel of your rear, squeezing the meat of your hip, up your ribs before moving to the front of your body, palm to the side of your breast. Then your stomach, flipping his wrist as he moved his hand between your legs. You jerked and moaned into his mouth. Hank matched you, sound for sound.
"I missed you so damn much." Hank said in between gasps as his fingers got reacquainted with your sex, excited that he could feel a pool of wetness at your clothed slit, it spurred him on when you moaned deeper, moaned longer, starting to grind your pussy against his clever fingers. "Can I open you up now, baby? that alright with you? gotta' make sure you don't go and get hurt."
"Fuck. Touch me already Hank, I'm dyin' up here." You whined, kissing him harder.
He laughed into your mouth and did what he was told and pulled your underwear to the side, letting the pads of his fingertips toy with your wetness. He groaned and eased a finger up and inside, much to your liking by the way you mewled and let out a squeal. It made Hank's cock jump with earnest need and desire for you when he added a second finger. He fingered you slow, taking his time, mapping you out, chuckling deeply when you voiced that you needed to get the show on the road, he could take as much time as he wanted later that night as promised. He gave in as you sat up while he hurriedly undid his belt, undoing his slacks quickly, pulling them along with his boxers down. You used the headrest for leverage, before tapping the head of his pre-cum slicked cock against your entrance, you bit your lip, breathing uneasily as you slowly made your decent.
"Jesus Christ, Hank!" You moaned and shuddered around him as you took more and more of him inside you, your gummy walls expanding, reminding yourself how good you two would go at it. How well you two knew each others bodies, old lovers and old friends, Hank swore he heard your nails scratching into the fabric of the headrest.
"God I fucking missed you." Hank responded, holding your hips, guiding you into riding him, you rolled and rocked your hips down on him. He watched in a daze the sight of his cock disappearing up inside you a his fist gathered the silk in his hands. The smell of your perfume, the scent of your juices mixing the harder you moved left Hank dizzy. You moaned louder when he let go, freeing a hand to settle at the base of your throat, grounding you. Your eyes popped open and you smiled down at him, fucking yourself on him, you let out a devious little chuckle and smirked when your let go of the back headrest, trading it for by looping both of your arms around the front ones, holding on and you let yourself be on display for him. Your tits bouncing when you changed the angle, hitting a certain spot in you that made you yelp, your vocals sent a current through the palm of his hand. He grunted at that.
"More. I need more." You whined, moving up and down, circling your hips on the way back down. He could feel another pool of wetness start to gather at the base of his cock, with the way you rolled your hips like that, you were making sure Hank was nudging that secret little spot that made you scream.
"You got it baby, lean back just like that. Rub your clit for me, there." He helped move your dress further out of the way, catching sight of you taking your pleasure seriously as he watched your hand ghost down your body after licking your fingers, rubbing your self, biting at your lips, rolling your eyes as you huffed out in pleasure.
"You're really lookin' to earn some good boy points, huh?" You keened and stared into his soul, brows itching to reach each other with honest desire.
"I haven't earned those words in a long time, hnng, need t-to make up for it."
"Ah shit! I'm gonna' cum already." You rubbed your clit faster, bumping damp fingers against his cock with each thrust, you screwed your eyes shut, focusing and chasing that sweet release.
"Not yet baby, I'm almost there. 'm right behind you, hold on for me." Hank grunted, thrusting a bit faster to catch up to the finish line.
" 'm not gonna' last, babe. Fuck, I haven't… haven't been full of you in forever." You sobbed out, your voice watery.
" 's alright. We'll get back into the rhythm of it. Just takes time." Hank reached under one of your arms, bringing you foreword, changing the angle once more as you whined.
"Time we don't have. My sister is gonna' be looking for me. Fuck that's deep, mmhm."
"I know. But I just don't wanna' rush through this. I missed you so much." Hank couldn't himself and licked your neck, nipping you under the jaw.
"I know. I missed you too. But there's another reason we need to make this, fuck me Hank! this needs to go a little faster." You said, riding him faster, keeping the pressure on your clit, he could feel your walls contracting, pulsing with need.
"What?"
"Babe, we're not in our twenties anymore. We're too old to be fucking in the back of you car, my knees are killing me!" You finally shouted and slapped the back of the passenger seat.
" 'ere get up, reverse it, sit on my lap, we'll finish with you in my arms like this."
The noise you made when you got off his lap was strained, hunched over the console, letting him guide and slide you back onto his lap, reverse cowgirl style as he held you around the middle, locking his fingers together as you sunk back on him, his chest to your back.
"Fuck me, ok we gotta' cum baby, we gotta' cum together or we're gonna', oh fuck yeah Hank, like that. We're g-gonna' get caught."
"Doesn't mean a god damn thing to me," Hank thrusted up into you, faster, chasing that bliss you both were desperate for. "I got my fucking girl back!"
You leaned your head back against his shoulder as he fucked you, the air in the cabin was getting hotter, you voiced you were worried about your makeup melting, how your hair would be out of place if he didn't fuck you faster. Hank was all too happy to hear how eager you were, to feel him again, the have him against you, iin you. Your breathing became labored, holding onto his clasped hands as you screamed out through clenched teeth that you were coming, that he needed to reach you. A few more thrusts after you came did Hank join you, biting into the back of your shoulder, licking and kissing at the flesh he found there as he emptied himself inside you. His cock pulsed. He couldn't stop, it just kept coming out!
You swallowed and moved, careful to drip his cum out on his pants, the car mats or seat by moving your panties back. Hank put himself away and hopped out of the truck, even lighter on his feet and went to pop the trunk again. He handed you some wipes and a towel, helping you clean up. You tied up the remains of your tryst in a little baggies before he closed and locked the car.
"Hey uh, maybe not the best time to bring this up but… maybe we shouldn't do this right now." You said on the way back up this hill.
"What? but we just-- "
"Not that! we're back together Hank, but it's Maya's day, I don't want us walking back in there smiling like idiots and taking away from her big day, ya' know? let's just be ius for a bit, yeah? you and me." You said, letting go of his hand, which hurt more than it should, though he understood your point.
"I get it. I do. I just… I got my girl back, ya' know? I wanna' fuckin' scream about it."
"Just for a little while, ok?"
"Can I at least tell Nick?" Hank asked.
"Sure. You can-- NOW?" You exclaimed.
"Yes right now! I won't get another opportunity to do it so I am inot taking any chances." Hank hurriedly pulled out his phone and called Nick, putting him on speaker, you two were just far enough away yet from the reception be heard by any means. It rang only twice.
"Hank."
"Nick; where are you right now?"
"Uh I'm at home with Adalind why? what's up? you okay?" Nick's concerned voice came through the speaker, he was genuine. One of the many qualities Hank admired about Nick, no matter what he'd been through, what loss, what joy, what pain it was all real with him.
"It's gonna' get loud real quick, real fast. Ready?" Hank looked at you with a grin.
"Uh yeah I guess man. I don't know what that means but I--"
"I GOT MY GIRL BACK! WOOO!" Hank whopped and he jumped at him, covering his mouth with a grin of your own, laughing at his antics.
"Wah! seriously? you two are back together? where is she now?" Nick asked, most likely he had to pull the phone away from his ear. Adalind could be heard stifling a bit of laughter of her own.
"She's right here."
You bent closer to Hank's phone. "Hi Nick. Looks like we're going to be seeing a lot more of each other."
"Told you it was a sign. Great. That's great. I'm sure you and Hank have a lot of catching up to do. Preferably not outside of department stores." Nick joked.
"Let's hope not."
"I just wanted to tell you the news, I'll tell you more later. I owe this little lady a dance on the dancefloor." Hank said, looking right at you as if he'd won the lottery.
He hung up with Nick and placed his hand at your back, making sure you didn't get those nice heels stuck in the mud.
"A dance, huh?" You said as you opened the back patio door, music blaring in your ears. "Just don't step on my feet this time, big guy."
"How do you know I haven't been taking dance lessons, hmmm?" Hank said, closing the door and taking your hand. Subtly of course.
"Have you been taking dance classes?" You furrowed your brow in curiosity.
"Nope." Hank laughed and spun you around. "But I could!"
"There you are!" Maya ran over to you two, hopefully not looking itoo guilty. "I've been looking all over for you two! I wanna dance, baby!" Maya did a twirl in her dress. "And Hanky, I just wanna' say I'm glad you came."
Hank locked eyes with you and played it smooth. "So am I."
You shot him a look, those dagger eyes and sharp teeth.
All Hank could do was laugh and hide the little swat to your ass as you all made it to the dancefloor. He did wonder in those little moments, now that he was aware of the world he lived in was not what it seemed. Maybe you were wesen and he didn't know it. He didn't let that brain worm stop him from having a good time at the wedding or with you.
He had his girl back and that's all that mattered.
The other stuff could wait.
