I miss caring to be expressive enough to post on social media. I've stopped posting.. on instagram and here, since forever now. I see no point of it anymore. Maybe an insta story once a month, but beyond that, I don't feel like stating my opinions/support/hate or my achievements or major life changes, etc. ... or just about anything anymore on social media. If it's something nice, like a cool bird I saw, maybe I'll post a story of it- as a rare event of posting. I feel like I want to keep more things to myself now and for people I actually talk to daily, my loved ones and the few closest friends only.. and they are all just a text/call away, so why bother showing everyone everything, yk? Anyone feel me?
A BA in Economics and an honourary MA in Keeping-your-shit-together should be mandatorily awarded for preparing for UPSC alone.
Studying for competitive exams really be like stu*dying*
I'm officially studying more that I ever did for my 2 degrees combined. How is my Post Uni life more Uni Uni than Uni itself? Fml
I've never watched a single episode of spn but I've been thinking about the implications of being stuck inside a meme
Books are a special kind of poison. They soothe every ache inside of you while making you long for things that don't exist. They make you feel alive while simultaneously making life seem more and more dull with every page you read. Reading makes you feel less alone and yet it creates an ache for companionship - the likes of which you will never know outside of those pages.
Books are a poison I wish I had never drunk, but now that I have - it's the one thing keeping me alive.

reblog for a larger sample size because I’m so curious
Watched the entire series...all 15 seasons 5 times completely, and then random episodes on random days, of which I dont keep a count.
Everytime I see Supernatural trending I hold my breath because it's either because the gays are missing Destiel or some kind of major world news just happened.
The Meme™ is always there no matter what and I just never know what I'm gonna get.
Here's me seeing SPN trend. Being filled with dread and going to check what news has happened, expecting reddit blackout to be in the post format... But no
..... It looks like supernatural fandom is actually being resurrected
It never died to be resurrected?
i love tumblr fandom culture bc i see fanart and i can’t tell if it’s regulus black, nico di angelo, or keith from voltron
every word out of guillermo del toro’s mouth is the most hardcore thing i’ve ever heard and he says it all so casually like he doesn’t even realize how much of a gothic visionary he is
“Since childhood, I’ve been faithful to monsters. I have been saved and absolved by them, because monsters, I believe, are patron saints of our blissful imperfection, and they allow and embody the possibility of failing”
I STILL THINK ABOUT THIS EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE
Yo okie Guillermo has some of the best quotes and lines I’ve ever heard, here are just a few of his quotes that have me questioning life:
“What is a ghost? A tragedy condemned to repeat itself time and again? A moment of pain, perhaps. Something dead which still seems to be alive. An emotion suspended in time. Like a blurred photograph. Like an insect trapped in amber.”
“I knew that monsters were far more gentle and more desirable than the monsters living inside ‘nice people.’ Accepting that you are a monster gives you the leeway to not behave like one. When you deny being a monster, you behave like one.”
“When you see something or experience something extraordinary, you can’t go back to normal… I think that that’s the way I see the supernatural-as happening in mundane circumstances or to people who are unprepared”
“To learn what we fear is to learn who we are. Horror defines our boundaries and illuminates our souls”
“Any legend, any creature, any symbol we ever stumble on, already exists in a vast cosmic reservoir where archetypes wait. Shapes looming outside our Platonic cave. We naturally believe ourselves clever and wise, so advanced, and those who came before us so naïve and simple…when all we truly do is echo the order of the universe, as it guides us…”
And the last but certainly not the least:
“In fairy tales, monsters exist to be a manifestation of something that we need to understand, not only a problem we need to overcome, but also they need to represent, much like angels represent the beautiful, pure, eternal side of the human spirit, monsters need to represent a more tangible, more mortal side of being human: aging, decay, darkness and so forth. And I believe that monsters originally, when we were cavemen and you know, sitting around a fire, we needed to explain the birth of the sun and the death of the moon and the phases of the moon and rain and thunder. And we invented creatures that made sense of the world: a serpent that ate the sun, a creature that ate the moon, a man in the moon living there, things like that. And as we became more and more sophisticated and created sort of a social structure, the real enigmas started not to be outside. The rain and the thunder were logical now. But the real enigmas became social. All those impulses that we were repressing: cannibalism, murder, these things needed an explanation. The sex drive, the need to hunt, the need to kill, these things then became personified in monsters. Werewolves, vampires, ogres, this and that. I feel that monsters are here in our world to help us understand it. They are an essential part of a fable.”
ladies we need to start frantically and obsessively reading books in less than 24 hours again..remember how happy we were
no see the thing is I think he has a point
Any chance you know of some good archaeology/history youtube channels? Everytime i try searching i just get aliens and atlantis garbage
Time Team is a British TV series following specialists who dig deep to uncover as much as they can about Britain's archaeology and history.
First and foremost in my heart will always be Time Team. This is a tv program that does three day digs in the UK, and it has some of the most realistic archaeology I've yet to find on tv. You can watch old episodes for free on their official YouTube channel (linked above)
The American Battlefield Trust is America's largest non-profit organization (501-C3) devoted to the preservation of our nation's endangered
I personally enjoy the historical programing done by the American Battlefield Trust. It's very Civil War-centric, and it does fall into the very politically-middle-of-the-road category that a lot of military organizations do, but they're good for what they are.
