Artemis and Orion (Greek Mythology Series) (asked by p0is0n-ivy)
the goddess paus’d, and dropp’d her arrow’s point- rais’d it again—and then again relax’d (x)
God I want you in some primal, wild way animals want each other. Untamed and full of teeth. God I want you, In some chaste, Victorian way. A glimpse of your ankle just kills me.
-Want, Clementine von Radics (via clementinevonradics)
"I know I called you a murderer, but you are not. You are a hero. You beat the island. You beat my father. So fight, Oliver. Get up and fight back.
You lick your lips, you taste like years of being alone.
Warsan Shire (via somesmallghosts)
unbind me
Leave a “Unbind Me” in my ask, and I’ll write a drabble about your character freeing mine, or the other way around, or something among the lines [be it freeing them from jail, from handcuffs, from a trap, from a curse, feel free to specify.]
Artemis hadn’t been paying close enough attention, her eyes set on her prey as she approached on silent bare feet. She only noticed the snare at the very last second, a cry of surprise leaving her lips in a yelp as her world suddenly turned upside down. All of her arrow fell from her quiver, her bow dropping to the ground as her hands grabbed the hem of her short tunic to keep them from going past her hips.
"Orion!" She screamed, furious as the beautiful twelve-pointed stag she had been tracking for hours ran away. Her hair, already tangled, was now a complete mess around her shoulders and her cheeks were red with anger and embarrassment. She knew he had to have been close.
"It’s about time," she hissed as he came through the trees, bow in hand. His eyes went wide at the sight of the goddess upside down and her eyes narrowed as he struggled not to laugh. Biting the inside of his cheek, he slowly walked around her, snickering to himself as she clutched her tunic in front and behind. "What on earth are you waiting for?" She wanted to scream, she was so angry, her ankle sore. "Let me down!"
Orion stopped in front of her, his face inches from hers, and this time he didn’t bother trying to hide his smirk. “Kiss me.”
"What?" She nearly screeched, one of her hands reaching down to pummel his stupid head, but he was clever, leaning back and pointedly moving his eyes up so that she was forced to hold her tunic again.
"If you kiss me, I’ll let you down," he told her, licking his own lips and grinning. She rolled her eyes, thinking him the dumbest demigod she had ever met.
"Fine," she huffed, pouting slightly. Orion’s smirk deepened and he stepped forward , his lips pressing softly against hers at first. Orion deepened the kiss and she sighed as he sucked on her bottom lip, his tongue brushing between them until they parted. His tongue played against hers for a while, Orion’s fingers curling in the hair at the nape of her neck to steady her. When he finally pulled away, her legs were clamped together, and her cheeks and chest were flushed.
"Okay," she muttered breathlessly, trying to regain some composure despite being trapped upside down in a snare meant for a rabbit. "Get me down."
Orion grinned and cut the line, his jaw dropping a bit as she fell to the ground. “Shit,” he nearly laughed as he rushed forward, kneeling down next to the goddess. “I’m sorry,” he grinned, helping her tug the rope from her swollen ankle. She slapped his shoulder and muttered about him being an idiot before wrapping her arms around his shoulder and letting him carry her back to her camp.
"You do realize this means a month’s worth of massages whenever I like," she frowned at him. He continued to smirk, chewing the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing again. "And if you tell anybody what happened, I will make you regret it Orion."
Orion simply chuckled and kept walking, his mind more focused on the kiss than on finding the goddess of the hunt trapped in one of his snares.
