Hello again! Been a while huh?

Hi! If you're new to this blog, I'm Veo! (She/her, Adult, Lesbian/Neptunic/Quoiromantic)

if you're not new to this blog, you'll probably know that I took a major hiatus for a long time. This was for the sake of my mental health, as I became quite overwhelmed and needed to take a break from posting. Well, im back!

You don’t have to be waving a “I hate transfems” sign to be transmisogynistic. Anon actually says nothing about their preferences for a person’s “anatomy” [I assume you’re meaning genitals or sex characteristics], they only say they are attracted to people of numerous different genders, as long as they’re “afab”.

That means nothing. People who were AFAB can have penises, can have vaginas, can be men, can have no genitals at all. It means nothing except “I’m not attracted to people I’ve decided were AMAB”, which is a HUGE variety of people that have all different “anatomy” and genders.

So it’s not a gender preference, because people who were AMAB can be all genders and it’s not an “anatomy preference”, because people who were AMAB can also have all different types of anatomy. So what is it?

It’s someone admitting they have a bunch of prejudice and pre-conceived notions of what “AMAB” people are and specifically dating people of numerous genders, including trans folks, but excluding the majority of transfems.

That is transmisogynistic. And you could call it a preference, the same way you could call it a “preference” when people refuse to date fat people or trans people or Black people. Or we could be upfront and call it out for its blatant and open bigotry.

It’s also what is called a “dogwhistle”, when people are saying something bigoted but use specific phrasing to try to pretend they’re not; it sounds “okay” to people who aren’t familiar with the bigotry, sounds great to people who love that bigotry and makes the targets of that bigotry immediately aware they are unsafe.

It’s ALSO worth saying that police dogs serve a significant role in worsening police brutality. A dog trained to attack a human will maim them. A cop looses a police dog on someone, and that person is expected to peacefully cooperate while a dog is trying to tear their limbs off. It is very easy for those massive wounds to get infected. It is an absurd amount of violence. And beyond the initial attack, the fact that a “poor sweet innocent doggo” did this is used to excuse that brutality in court. Especially if the victim, panicking in the moment, lashed out at the dog. As this website has demonstrated many times, majority-white juries have more sympathies for injured dogs than the people of color who are most often victims of police brutality. people just hate children. it's a sorry state of affairs. they hate children being starved and bombed overseas. they hate children laughing and playing in the park. they hate their own kids, whom they popped out because social norms told them it was an obligate milestone for their own enrichment and not the creation of another human being whose life then takes priority over theirs. they don't want to be around children, they don't want to raise them, they are always foisting them onto someone else and no one wants to take them. they hate children even though we were all children once and most of us probably know, in some way or another, how withering it felt to be a hated child, whether it was some stranger on a bus telling us to shut up in an isolated incident or our parents resenting the fact that we existed. nothing will get better if we don't stop hating children and start seeing every child anywhere as a vulnerable citizen we ought to look out for. our society is only as healthy as the poorest, loneliest child in it.
