Game Artwork - The Big Board. - Wario Land 4.

Between all levels seen in Wario Land 4. This level is my favorite in the game! - The gimmick of this level is that you will have this “board game” below you that will activate some sort of “action” within the level itself. “Transform Wario.” “Gain health.” “Get damaged.” “Switch on and off blocks.” 

And you do that by jumping onto these numbered blocks. The number indicates how many steps you will walk onto the board game Itself. - I love that idea for this level! 

Now as for the artwork Itself. I made the first version back in 2020 and the latest version in 2023. 23 > 20. As mentioned I do like seeing the improvements I do between the years of my art by comparing them. 

One thing I found weird is that in the game Wario is not seen with their iconic green shoes…? So I added that into this Game Artwork.

Art Challenge Bonus. - The 20 & 10 Art Style Challenge. 

Here are some of the work progress gifs & Pictures I have saved, based on some of those I have saved. Normally for me, when It comes to digital art. I usually sketch It out on paper first, before I create It with digital art. Drawing sketches and concepts with my left hand and using my right hand for computer art. - It's quite the good contrast and workflow for myself!

Art Challenge. - The 20 & 10 Art Style Challenge. 

For the past years… I have been practicing drawing my OC known as “Veo” in different Art Styles. It started back in 2016 up to 2021 as a tradition for me to do one each year! - Though I didn’t do any in 2022 and 2023, I did return to this art challenge back in 2024. And my plans for 2025 is to do another one later on. 

So the list goes from the top to the bottom in this post: 2024 > 21 > 20 > 19 > 18 > 17 > 2016. 

Why? - I liked to see how much I have been improving each year with this art challenge. Also another reason to allow myself to draw “Veo” in different art styles.

hmmmm… A remake of the game could be fun... It could work. Though do you think the people behind Brothership are able to do that job for Partners in time good? - if they decide to make a remake of one of the older games in the series?

Character Design. - Dreambert. .- Mario & Luigi Dream Team Bros. 

So back when I got the game onto my 3DS I really liked the game a lot! - No surprise really. I had played the earlier entries of this series up to that point of getting Mario & Luigi Dream Team Bros. But this game was very fun to play. - It did come with its own few problems like being a bit too long at the end and dragged out a bit too much at the start of the game. 

But still. I really liked the characters and how the game felt. Dreambert might have had some very long dialog boxes, but they are one of my favorite designs for the new helper for Mario and Luigi. 

The first fanart of Dreambert I made around 2014 is seen on the right side. In the middle is my 2021 version in pixel art. and to the left is my latest 2025 version in pixel art of Dreambert.

Game Artwork - The Factory. - Lethal Company. - pt 1. 

Personally, This is one of my favorite co-op horror games I have played in years! While the game has gotten pretty stale over the past couple of months now. It did kickstart some of the best moments I have had in years playing with friends!

As for the artwork Itself, This was my first attempt at working with “isometric art in pixel art.” The main set piece I wanted to go for was to add the memorable “fan in the ceiling” that you notice every time you enter into the entrance of the factory. - Such a good starting area.

OC Character - Mechagon. 

Mechagon is my Robot Dragon OC. Not much info is available on them since their info is highly classified by The Professors orders… 

Though… Based on what can be mentioned from The Main Researchers notes… Mechagon is able to have their parts removed, added or changed to switch form based on their dragon form, mechanical form or mecha form. They are also capable of firing their blue fire attack and are able to fly in the air based on what wings they are equipped with. They are also known to be one of their strongest creations, created by The Professor. They have currently been seen in "3 different versions." ...But not much else is known about them. Further research is required... The order of the newest versions of "Mechagon" are seen as in v3 > v2 > v1.

Game Artwork - Eribu. - Axiom Verge. 

Axiom Verge is one of my personal favorite Metroidvanias that I have played. I wanted to challenge myself to create the “Starting Area” known as Eribu but with animations added into this Game Artwork. 

I have almost 100% the game. But there are some really hard to find Items that I am missing that I need to find…

Game Artwork - Egg Corridor. - Cave Story. 

Cave story… As far as I remember, it was a really fun game to play! One of my favorite Areas from this game is known as “Egg Corridor.” A room full of these “Eggs” and of course we cannot forget to mention “Basil” which is the name of that white creature. …Can’t remember how many times It killed me… 

I should replay this game again at some point.

Game Mockup - Redd’s Adventure. 

The Idea for this Game Mockup is that Redd has to go to these “dungeons” for collecting the hidden Relics/Artifacts while defeating the enemies that lie deep within the dungeons. This one is known as “Solar Temple” a type of dungeon that is known for Its many rooms full of lava and traps. 

My wishlist would be to make this game mockup into a Metroidvania. Having the minimap as a “treasure map” would fit the theme for the pirate setting in this world.

OC Character - Redd.

Redd is my Treasure Hunter OC based on a more Adventure/Pirate setting. Basically in this world there are these “Relics/Artifacts” hidden around the world that is mostly found & seen in "dungeons" that one can collect. They give the users some really powerful powers that can either be really good or really bad… Most of them are really valuable to find and collect! Many people are willing to pay someone really good money for some of the more rare Relics/Artifacts!

As Redd is a Rank A Treasure Hunter from the Treasure Hunter Guild. Collecting Relics or Artifacts for gold is totally worth It in Redd’s eyes!

Ideas for making Wario Master of Disguise Better.

For those who know or don't know? Wario Master of Disguise came out on the Nintendo DS 2007 and the main gimmick with most DS games were often about using the Dual Screens and Touch controls with your stylus. 

Now the game Itself was very unique and weird? - Which fits the theme with a “Wario” game. But the game failed because its controls and the stylus pen didn’t always work the way you wanted It to work. - Especially during their more “intense moments” where you needed to be quick to do a sort of action, both moving with the buttons and drawing at the same time… often seen in boss fights in this game. Together with the treasure chest minigames and repeated gameplay, the game can be seen as less fun to play. - Even if the Pixel Art, Story and Music is really really good for a Wario game!

Now I am not here to just look down on the game Itself. Being an Artist & Designer I am, I have many Ideas that could have solved this problem If Nintendo actually decided to do It good and correctly. Now I know this game was developed by Suzak. But here are some Ideas that could have made this game more fun to play!

One of the things I wished this game did instead… was to export this game onto the Wii U instead of the DS. Like… The whole thing with the DS version of Wario Master of Disguise is that on the upper screen you have the “Map” for the area and the icons seen for the disguises, right? like... think of a “MV map.” and the bottom screen is for the gameplay with the stylus controls. Where you will both move Wario and draw the symbols and actions needed for the disguises with the stylus.  

If this game was on the Wii U instead… You could for example have the gameplay on the TV together with the map visible, while having the gamepad for a bigger space where you can use the stylus to draw the symbols needed for all of the disguises. And If you didn’t want to draw the Icons needed with the stylus, you could otherwise just do what “A Hat In Time” did. Based on selecting their “hats” in a circle menu where the game around you slows down, allowing you to select the Disguise you want to have equipped with a button press instead.

And if the minigames are the problem since they take the player out of the game Itself. Like the movementum for playing and opening these treasure chests… It stops the flow of the game. To fix that, either make the Treasure chests less engaging to open to have the Treasure chest feel like a Reward for the player to find within the level Itself! Or have more variations of the minigames when you are trying to open the treasure chests.  You could even have these “micro-mini games” Wario is so known for nowadays based on Warioware.

Personally I think that would have solved a lot of the problems this game had. If the controls were better optimized & the treasure chests didn’t have the minigames or had more fun variations of minigames. That would have made these treasure chests more fun to collect now when there are about 130 of them to collect! While of course, this won’t happen. Because Nintendo is Nintendo. But this is something I always felt was a missed opportunity to fix the game if they wanted to make It better! - The game Itself is not that well known to most people, but I think these changes could have made the game more fun for others to play! - If this game was available on the Wii U. - like... It would have been the perfect console for this sort of game. 

At least, that is what I think.

OC Character - Dragonia. 

Dragonia is my Dragon Mage OC that exists in the same world as Floyd. Their magic is known as “Spirit Fire.” It’s a slightly stronger type of fire that also works on spiritual creatures. 

Since Floyd and Dragonia are classmates/friends, It’s not too rare to see them working together in teams.

Game Artwork - Cargo Bay. - Wario Master of Disguise. 

Underrated Wario/DS game. - Though the controls with the touchscreen sucks, one cannot forget to mention the music from this game! - While It is not my favorite wario game... It is one of the weirder and unique wario games I have played! - and I really liked it a lot! 

…I still have no Idea why Nintendo didn’t add any of the “Boss Tracks” from this game into Super Smash Bros Ultimate… Such a missed opportunity.

OC Character - Floyd & Magi.  Floyd is my Human Mage OC based on my Magic School Universe/World. Their type of magic is known as “mimic” which allows them to not only speak to mimics but also to learn others magic by the cost of their mana capacity and knowledge based on the magic they want to learn.

Their Familiar is known as Magi who is the Mimic Hat on top of Floyd.

( wip ) Veo in Pizza Tower - Pixel Art Animation.

As for one of the side game projects I am working on is to mod the game known as “Pizza Tower” My plan is to change most of the playable characters sprites/animations into “Veo” while adding some other things as well. - Here is a small taste of the “Veo animations” I have worked on, but not all of them of course~ 

I am currently taking a pause from this project, but I plan to get back to this one during the summer.
