I’m sorry about the art drought, everyone. Anyone in Australia will know that we’re being subjected to a fairly pointless and very depressing postal vote right now, trying to get to a point where our parliament will actually vote in legal marriage equality. I’ve been extremely depressed and anxious since the whole thing started and though I have drawn some stuff, I haven’t felt much like going online or posting anything. I might get to a point where I do soon. In the meantime, here’s a fairly simple art I did to put on Facebook in the hope that my parents and their “No”-inclined friends might see. I don’t have a lot of hope about that, but, I have to try. I marched in Melbourne yesterday, which did make me feel like I’d done something worthwhile. That’s all I can do right now, try to help. I don’t have a lot financial or mental capacity, so it’s hard. But, I’ll keep trying. Feel free to share if you’re in the same situation, as well. Been doing some “daily” prompts over on twitter (and “daily” is extremely generous, it’s been more like maybe weekly) In order: Achromatic, Complementary, Black and Euphoria

We see inside of Lucretia’s office.

Specifically, the portrait. 

And wearing these uniforms of red are seven people. There’s an elven woman who looks so much like you, Taako, and she has her arm around Barry and they’re both smiling. 

And Taako, you’re just like, front and center frame and you’re cheesing it for this picture.  

And Merle, you and Davenport are standing side-by-side and you’ve got your shirt sleeves rolled up and you’re laughing and just like flexing and striking a pose. 

And Magnus, you’re just kinda standing behind them and smiling and waving kind of goofy. 

And in the middle of this– this crew, with the same cautious smile you’ve seen hanging over her office for a year now is Lucretia and she’s holding her journals. 

And she’s surrounded by friends. 

And if you were in that office, still, you could see it all now. 

You could see the seven of you celebrating a rare moment of peace and happiness during your harrowing journey. 

And it’s time to remember this moment now, and all of the others that brought you to where you are today. 

It’s time to reclaim your stolen century. 

I can’t stop doing more and more involved Adventure Zone fanarts and holy shit I’m actually having a lot of fun doing more humanoids- probably because I’ve worked out a way to jack a mix of the SU character style and a few cartoonists I like who draw humans. Not like, great at it yet, but enjoying the practice! That said, I think on this, I might be satisfied. I just really wanted to take a stab at the IPRE team portrait from the epilogue. That said, when Ep 60 does finally drop, I might be in a fanart trance again. -shrug-

I never draw comics but there’s like, WAY too much in that last Adventure Zone ep that I wanted to draw, this moment was too intense for just one illustration, boy howdy am I probably gonna draw more moments though, hoooooly shit, please help me i’m an adventure zone fanart addict big time, aahhh

So I drew out another cutscene I had a lot of feelings about while listening to the Bonus ep, and, shiiiit, that did not help at all because now I’m just really annoyed that this ep of Nights ended on a cliffhanger too and I am definitely now emotionally invested in that storyline too. I’m a ball of story-induced-frustration at the moment. I actually really enjoyed drawing in the new/different style I used in the last frustration-therapy fanart I did so I used it again! I’m not sure I’ve quite got it down yet but I like the possibilities. It’s a lot faster than my super painty smooth style, which I definitely enjoy. But back on point. Can someone help Kravitz please? PLEASE? I am VERY WORRIED about him. My brain is exploding trying to work out if Magnus was meant to get pulled into the Astral Plane so he could help Kravitz or something? Or if he was supposed to be helped by Kravitz? Uhhh please someone, please go help the nice good reaper boi, he’s very sad and scared!!!

I can’t actually explain how good this cutscene was and how extremely psyched I am and how direly I need more. I had to draw a rendition of the Ep 58 epilogue scene! So much is happening!  I was tempted to swap BBJ in the pocket spa (w/cukes ofc) for Kravitz stuck in the prison, but his scene wasn’t part of the end cutscene and I REALLY wanted to get some practice in at drawing Barry in case... I need it later? I mean I guess I haven’t drawn Kravitz basically ever, but he’s super handsome so that’s easy hurrhurr (don’t be surprised if I draw Kravitz’s cutscene next actually) ALSO I really HAD to draw Sweet Flips bc Carey’s shock at Magnus’s “death” is taking my entire feelings quota on its own MUCH LESS ALL THE REST GAH

I’ve been working on this for a couple hours a day, the last couple of work days, and I haven’t been like EXCITED to come home and just draw for so long. I used a different style and texture brush to my usual too- which I actually really liked so I might do more with it! My mild Carey Peitsch influences are coming through in my style of people too. (Lucretia and Davenport need improvement, not psyched about their panel, but the rest I love)

I’m so poor at the moment but I s2g the maxfundrive might tempt me to up the monthly donation again, I haven’t seen the merch, please spare me this curse

Positively Forceful Felines - All Artist Proceeds to Planned Parenthood! A good friend inspired me to participate in their #Caturday art project on Twitter last weekend, to inspire some positivity. Prompt was “Burn”. This little ‘mon can’t see well enough to toast this ‘mallow without burning it
