Extremely old, even for an elf. Like, 998.

Aims to become a lich.

As a master necromancer, he was very close to reaching this goal.

He had his own tower, filled with undead minions.

However, a few years ago, his powers began to dwindle, until last year, they were too weak to maintain control over his thralls.

He was driven out of his own tower by undead he was no longer powerful enough to subdue, and has taken to travelling in search of answers, as well as the means of regaining his powers.

A singular minion of his remains under his control: the most ineffectual (and obnoxious) of the bunch, a floating skull with a shrill voice.

He still has the ego of a master necromancer, despite lacking the power to back it up.

Nowadays, he occupies the role of "guy who used to be a major antagonist but has been weakened to the point of no longer being a threat and begrudgingly keeps the company of people he would've otherwise tried to kill".

Some details about him under the cut:

Prone to theatrics. Carries himself like a fruity little Dracula.

Prides himself on being "a beacon of light in the darkness" and otherwise a symbol of hope, but most of the other darkners think he's ineffectual at best and slightly annoying at worst.

Has a dedicated area that he considers his "domain", but it's more like... an enclosure. He's got his own little corner of the dark so he doesn't go bothering anyone else.

That said, he does have a small devoted fanbase of Little Darkners (a box of matches).

Terrified of obsolesence. Hates lamps and other light sources more than your average darkner.
