La contribución de los medios emergentes en la cobertura de la comunidad hispana

Antes de comenzar a analizar las contribuciones de los medios emergentes, se debe presentar una breve explicación. Al modernizarse el mundo, los medios de comunicación se han tenido que adaptar para llegar a un mayor público. Por esto, se desarrollan los medios que brindan la oportunidad de compartir los sucesos con inmediatez y abarcan más que un texto o una imagen.

En Puerto Rico, los medios emergentes fueron de gran ayuda para conectar e informar a las personas en el verano de 2019. Los medios emergentes son una alternativa para cambiar de los medios de comunicación oficiales o tradicionales. Estos medios han ayudado a comunicar la historia de Puerto Rico y de muchos otros países. Esta alternativa ha sido de gran ayuda para la comunidad Latina. Muchos periódicos utilizan las redes sociales para compartir sus notas, pero los medios emergentes han sido esenciales para los y las periodistas independientes.

Las características más importantes y beneficiosas que tienen los medios emergentes son la inmediatez, el potencial que tiene una nota de hacerse viral y cuán interactivos pueden ser. Se conoce que estas estrategias son muy eficaces para atraer a más lectores. La comunidad hispana ha utilizado los medios emergentes para ser escuchada.

Las y los hispanos los utilizan para recibir una cobertura completa e intentar presentar todos los puntos de vista. En muchas ocasiones, los medios tradicionales se enfocan en las noticias negativas de este grupo. Por esto, muchas personas han desarrollado una serie de prejuicios y estos se intentan combatir en los emergentes diariamente. Estos medios comparten notas de todo tipo, y como la misma comunidad tiene la oportunidad de monitorear lo que se publica, puede contribuir en la creación un medio justo y neutral, sin crear prejuicios, y con una voz editorial que pueda informar sin desear infligir un daño premeditado.

Estos medios benefician a las periodistas porque nos brindan la oportunidad a llegar a un público mayor y crear contenido interesante e interactivo. Impulsan nuestras historias y nos motivan al recibir las reacciones y comentarios de nuestro trabajo. La comunidad hispana ha sido beneficiada por las coberturas que presentan y el estilo que promueven los medios emergentes; por la oportunidad de trabajo completo, por la objetividad, y por ser justos y justas en el proceso de recopilación de datos. La forma de comunicar los eventos noticiosos ha cambiado drásticamente en los últimos años. El estilo de la escritura de cada periodista ha evolucionado y ha añadido al potencial que tiene cada nota para ser leída en países que, en muchas ocasiones, no conocían lo que ocurría antes. Los medios emergentes han ayudado en el proceso de llegar a un publico más variado.

Para finalizar, la razón por la que muchas personas de las nuevas generaciones prefieren los medios emergentes es por su usabilidad. Se puede desarrollar una plataforma sencilla y fácil de utilizar, pero también se pueden desarrollar interfaces más complejas, con aplicaciones adicionales. Existen páginas web que permiten personalizar la página y el mismo contenido que se publica en esta. La personalización puede incluir el enfoque, por ejemplo, la comunidad hispana se puede enfocar más en las y los periodistas que prefieren, sus historias y la posibilidad de aportar a alguna historia intentar perfeccionarla. La cobertura de los eventos que ocurren relacionados la comunidad latina e hispana ha mejorado sustancialmente gracias a los medios emergentes.

stretch for 10 minutes

record in your phone the positive thoughts you have so you can remember them

carry water with you (always always always)

shut off your phone for an hour and have some ME time

take a hot shower or bath at the end of a stressful day

try to make plans to spend time with someone at least once a week

think about 3 things you are grateful for at the end of each day

do something calming, relaxing, and non-electronic 30 minutes before you sleep

2018-2019 Spring

My first week was amazing! Something tells me this semester will be a lot but I’m in glee for what’s coming. All of my classes until now seem nice; I’m excited, I still need to take two new classes for the first time (they’re on Monday) and I’m starting work this week! Let’s see what this semester brings!
