Something me and my psychiatrist discuss endlessly, are the paradoxical problems I’ve had with the queer community, being a binary transwoman whose aim is to one day go Full Cis, and why it’s so hard to understand the difference between whatever social contract parts gender may have and the biology of knowing you’re born in the wrong body, and why it’s NOT ok to tell me gender is purely a social construct and that transpeople like me really don’t exist. Honey, if you can know your own identity, so can I, don’t push any agenda and expect to actually convince me you’re an ally.

I will discuss this conundrum further, in an essay I’m going to call:

So sometimes it’s hard to realise you’re worth everything good that comes your way, because people in general have a tendency to celebrate your failures more than victories. Everything is of course part of the human narrative, but when something as crazy as this sudden stroke of lightening I’m living in right now comes and turns it all upside down, I have to remind myself: You deserve everything good that comes your way. Love most of all. And whatever the costs, and especially whatever opinions people may vomit all over, it’s all part of the Great Transition, like a Jedi’s path - but more awesome.
