Mini Disparation: The Wardens of Discord!
So this idea comes from the recent Letters Page episode where Æternus and the Realm of DIscord go to war (Episode #266 for anyone who missed it). Short version for those who don't have the time right now: Ra, Fanatic, Visionary, and Argent Adept go to the Realm of Discord to prevent it from being conquered by the demons of Æternus led by Ismodial. The heroes are given Discord powers by Gloomweaver and look like this right now:
So things are at the point where the heroes were fighting fighting the Princes of Æternus, and we zoom in on the Ra and Fanatic Vs. Abbados fight, when a flaming chain lashes at Abbados. The chain wraps around his neck as Fanatic continues to slash at Abbados, him barely blocking with his axe, when said axe is ripped from his hands and used to decapitate him, and the camera turns around to reveal Agent of Gloom Spite!
(Cool guys don't use axes properly)
Then we cut to Ismodial desperately trying to complete her ritual to allow Æternus to enter Discord, when Spite, Fanatic, and Ra appear. Ismodial tries to use her aura of desire, but without the throne, it's not powerful enough to overcome Ra and Fanatic, and Spite is already too inhuman to be affected. And Fanatic Smites Ismodial! Then she and Ra start kissing (desire still affected them, just not enough to stop them). Argent Adept and Visionary finish off some of the other Demon princes, then meet up with the other heroes (and Spite, who they just think is some Discordian because why would you think weird skull face dude is someone you know).
The heroes chat a bit, and Visionary comments that she actually kind of likes her new power. Ra and Fanatic just kind of absentmindedly agree. Argent Adept starts to object, but the Drum of Gloomweaver starts making some weird noises, and both Spite and Visionary start talking to him about the value of embracing their new powers. Argent Adept looks up, and his eyes start glowing faintly red
We see, on Earth, a team of heroes calling themselves the Prime Wardens, fighting against a Cult of Gloom. The members of this team consist of Haka, Tempest, Captain Cosmic... Deadline... and Diamond Diva. We get a bit of a flashback of Diamond Diva going hunting for allies to help her stop Bal'Taranerach. She gets the former Prime Wardens, and finds Tarogath on his way to earth, and informs him that if they don't stop Bal'Taranerach, he'll pretty much destroy this dimension. They stop Bal'Taranerach, and do some other Prime Wardens stuff. We return to the present, and the heroes are fighting through the cult. They get to the central chamber, just as a portal to Discord opens. Diamond Diva tries to use her flute to force the portal closed, but the Drum of Despair, which was used to help open the gate, starts playing itself, summoning ghosts to attack Diva. And through the portal comes Argent Adept and Spite.
What follows is Adept and Spite escaping and beginning a dark ritual that summons the other former heroes, and prepares to bring forth Skinwalker Gloomweaver. These former heroes and Spite proclaim themselves to be the Wardens of Discord, and fight a bunch of different heroes as they bring forth Skinwalker Gloomweaver. Once they bring him out, the Heroes rally to fight Gloomweaver, who boasts about how they cannot hope to overcome him and his new servants. And that's when Argent Adept calls out "all yours Aata," teleports the Wardens of Discord back to the Realm of Discord, and leaves that area completely cut off from Discord. So Gloomweaver is now stuck on Earth, and the heroes absolutely destroy him. Haka comments about how his old friends are still in there somewhere.
The final scene is the Wardens of discord breaking Gloomweaver's throne into five seats, and creating a great council table in Gloomweaver's former palace. They then briefly talk about how they now have the power to destroy threats throughout all the realms. And perhaps have some fun as they go.
