The Farallon Islands off the coast of San Francisco, seen from Point Reyes.
A speck of gold in Steep Ravine, Marin, California.
San Francisco Bay, seen from the Berkeley hills on a stormy day in March.
Stinson, California. This is the final stretch on the Matt Davis / Steep Ravine loop, one of my all-time favorite hikes.
I went back to my favorite tree above Stinson, California.
Sunset in Tilden Park above Berkeley, California.
Mount Tamalpais as seen from the East Bay hills, during the blue hour.
Seastacks near Soberanes Creek in Garrapata, CA.
A fresh edit of a long exposure at the Krafla plant at Lake Myvatn, from a 2012 Iceland trip.
McClures Beach, Point Reyes, California.
For years now I’ve been trying to re-do a shot taken at this spot, but conditions or the timing of the tides never quite work out. With this one I quite like the soft feel and the shapes in the water, though.
Descending from Alpspitze into Höllental, Garmisch, Bavaria.
The Point Reyes coastline, looking toward Tomales Point.
Above Stinson, California.
Inside Höllentalklamm, Garmisch, Bavaria.
Looking north past Tomales Point toward Bodega Bay, during a rain shower. This is just a few minutes after one of my earlier shots.
McClures Beach after sunset.
Looking north on the Point Reyes peninsula, along the Tomales Point trail. I successfully dodged a tule elk herd to get to this spot...
