I've never tried a non-pixel-art lineless piece before! The color palette is from @color-palettes and their monthly challenge. I'd considered adding more detail, such as beaded jewelry, ruffles at the wrists, bows on the dress, a fishbowl purse, and decorations on the umbrella, but decided against it in the end. With what's already going on here, it probably would have been too much, especially since I'm working with a limited palette

i think we've done a great job expanding the view of what a child's favorite animal can be. kids these days can say they love axolotls or pangolins or coelecanths and their decision is respected. maybe their parents can even find them a stuffed animal of it if they know where to look. and i think that's beautiful
