my friend's discord server has a "proof of touch grass" channel where they post pics of them doing regular activities outdoors/in public. i think many online spaces could benefit from such a thing

when i was super depressed - like struggling to eat anything barely able to get out of bed to pee depressed - my good friend asked me every day to send her a picture of me holding a leaf and a picture of a meal i was eating and it helped me significantly

I simply have to ask your opinion about the DQ XII announcement. I'm so excited but I also NEED to know what happened and why they scrapped the original. What are your thoughts on the character design?

Ok so I wanted to sit down and actually draw over some niche points and connections I have made.

The game looks GREAT. Just a few tweaks here and there but the Hero's design kinda started to get my love. They went kind of hit or miss with the character silhouette, I assume they wanted to make him look unstable to send the message of him going into these weird dreams that have made his life harder and unpredictable. Such elements as: Lack of symmetry in the armor and hair, tears in his shirt as if he has been in a battle but only had time to arrange an improvised leather armor on top.

I am not a big fan of the low and loose hanging pants. MAYBE once he gets a shield which is most likely the case, it will balance it out.

The bow stood out to me the most, it is either something important to the story or maybe he is an archer before being one of the chosen.

The girl's design is great. I don't have many things to point out. I like her eyeshape, which is different from the half semi-circle and almond eyes we have been getting for years. Robot is fine, nothing to say until I see it in action, love the idea of more non-human companions.

The dragon form really needs some texturing, he almost looks like a toy or unfinished. I LOVE how goofy his eyes look and his parallels with his human version, but give me those subtle textures and I am 100% sold.

Regarding why they scrapped the first idea, i don't know and I have no clue since we have been pretty much in the dark for years about its development. Maybe the leaning towards dark fantasy was getting too out of the Dragon Quest formula (tm). I expect at least some commentary in a magazine or in some sort of character and lore book like they did with DQ11.

Anyway that's my two cents, I'm happy some people value my opninion :D
