Life's gifts abound. It was a beautiful day here on the coast of Virginia, so I decided to spend a few hours outside weeding in my hummingbird/butterfly garden. In the 2 1/2 hours I spent weeding, I was visited by a juvenile European Starling who sat above me on the fence, supervising me, for almost 30 minutes. Then while taking a water break, this small butterfly came and sat on my shirt - twice 😃 before deciding to sun on the Angel Trumpet leaf. When cleaning up for the day, a female Ruby-throated Hummingbird decided it was okay to get nectar from the Bee Balm with me standing right there. So grateful for all of Mother Nature's gifts today.
