WIP photos and my reference sheet for a cardigan I am making in honor of my love moving in. Each color has a representation; light violet for him, cream for me, and the blush to symbolize our love. A bit mushy but that’s my style. I’m excited to see how it all comes together and I’m happy to share it with you! The first image is the two front panels as they will be attached. Ready to be stitched together. Second image is of the two back panels that need to be stitched together to complete one big square. Last image is the doodle I’m using for my cardigan. I saw a video of a mother yelling at her child for bullying an autistic child. The mother received a lot of praise, mostly from parents of autistic children.

The problem is that in her yelling, she said nothing about what her child did. But she said multiple times, "He's severely autistic."

I don't see why it matters how severe his autism is. Bullying autistic people is bad because autistic people are people and bullying people is bad. It's not because autistic people need special treatment. Whatever her child did, it wouldn't have been okay if it was instead done to someone with less severe autism, someone who's undiagnosed, or someone who's neurotypical but just weird. Protecting autistic people from bullies should not seem like special treatment.

“The mother just doesn’t want the baby” that’s ok !

“The mother isn’t financially , mentally , and / or physically able to take care of a child” that’s ok !

“The father left and the mother doesn’t want to / can’t take care of the baby by herself as a single mother” that’s ok !

“The mother is addicted to something that will affect her child ,, therefore wants an abortion” that’s ok !

“fetus isn’t healthy ,, therefore abortion is necessary” that’s ok !

some people have got to understand that a woman doesn’t need to be violated to earn the rights to her own body. if you want to think of the children ,, think of the mother first. save the tree , not the apple.
