An open letter to all the authors who publish on small presses, regarding the seemingly endless stream of SPAM emails offering to help market your book:
I have received many of these, including some that purported to be from very real literary agencies, one that allegedly came from Gillian Flynn, and now, one that claims to be from Reese Witherspoon herself, claiming that I'm going to be read by Reese’s Book Club.
All of these, obviously are scams. In this video, I talk about my experience with these emails, and the tell-tale signs that Reese Witherspoon is not emailing you personally. (The first being, do you REALLY believe Reese Witherspoon is emailing you? I mean, REALLY believe?!?!"
But, hey! If any book clubs REALLY want to read either "Suffer For This" or "Feels Like Failure, Every Time," then hit me up! But the scammers can all go away now. For real.
