{ x. lucy weasley }:
to be, or not to be- that is the question: whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune or to take arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing end them.
Death, it seemed, had it’s advantages. She had contemplated it–pondered many times– the way it might feel to face it willingly; her heart had grown cold from thinking on this too often. She had never been afraid of it–she was much more afraid of life itself. It stared her in the eyes and she stared back, fragile but full of contempt. What could she say? Death had its allure.
He hadn’t a choice.
{ was it sick, she wondered, to beckon death when boys like robert didn’t have a say in the matter? }
to die- to sleep- no more; and by a sleep to say we end the heartache, and the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to. 'tis a consummation devoutly to be wish’d. to die- to sleep. to sleep- perchance to dream.
He was definitely dead. It felt like a dream ash she tried to breath in as best as she could but, the air tasted of something sickly sweet–like rotting fruit or like actually being dead. The dying itself had been made so romantic to Lucy–something frail about being almost there, not quite jumping from the ledge.
{ & in her mouth she could taste blood but, it was grounding her. it all felt like a dream. }
When would she wake from this nightmare?
dreamy, dreamy, dizzy– she couldn’t feel her toes. she knew he was dead his breath had stopped and his eyes; god, his eyes they were pulled away from life–so far away. in his hand, the flute and his shirt was covered in champagne or sweat & he was dead. his eyes, so far, far away.
ay, there’s the rub! for in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil, must give us pause.
She could hear their voice loud and clear as the man lifted her chin, looking into her eyes; as he checked her hands for blood and her smile for something menacing. Only, she wasn’t smiling for, Lucy didn’t smile when she was thinking–really, really thinking. How did it feel to not be there anymore; to know that you were going to die and not being able to stop it. She felt something of envy flaring up within her. Why couldn’t it be her?
{ who was she, a painted girl from a plastic family, to not be allowed a taste of death? }
morsemorde: to take a bite of death.
there’s the respect that makes calamity of so long life. for who would bear the whips and scorns of time, th’ oppressor’s wrong, the proud man’s contumely, the pangs of despis’d love, the law’s delay.
Girls like her were not to beg; not to ask questions. Lucy Weasley did as she was told–she played the role of the passive and mysterious girl of seeming malcontent. She spoke not and lied when they asked her how it made her feel. She swore under her breath.
“I just know that I found him. That’s it. Please stop asking.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t ask you about that.”
& she wouldn’t. She knew her cousin too well, she knew those eyes, the bright blue that no longer shone with anything. The passion that was lost now, that had maybe been lost for a longer time that Victoire had ever known. Sometimes, she felt helpless when it came to Lucy. No matter how much she was there, how much she tried to figure out her cousin’s mindset, where the bloody hell she was at half of the time -- she couldn’t. But Victoire had come to accept that. It didn’t mean she’d ever, ever give up trying to figure her cousin out in her entirety.
All she could do was be there & not ask questions too close to home. Not unless she was willing to admit that the demons she had sometimes also ruled her actions more than she wanted. No matter how many times the people she had beaten down deserved it. But that’s what Lucy understood in return -- Lucy could recognize the times that Victoire may have gone too far, when her knuckles were too bruised, when her eyes hadn’t yet healed from being swollen & black. But she didn’t say a word. Lucy didn’t ask questions.
“How much therapy d’you reckon you’re gonna need for this, Luce?” Eyebrows were raised in Lucy’s direction as lips quirked into a small smile before it faded away. “Don’t answer that. You don’t have to talk if you don’t want to.”
{ x. ca$$ius fulgora }:
“Why the fuck would they use plastic for fucking surgery? That’s dumb. And Merlin, you don’t even have a sixth sense, let alone seventh.”
“It’s obvious why they do, isn’t it, Fulgora?” Victoire gave Cassius a false look of confusion. “And I have a tenth sense, you premature ejaculation, don’t doubt me and my fucking senses, mate. Which, I also have one of those. I know when someone wants to fuck someone else. Or me.”
{ Pick Your Poison } Maddie + Vic
Dead. A boy had been found poisoned at the edge of the woods – one that almost took her own life but this boy hadn’t been as lucky. This wasn’t an accident; she could see it in the worry etched into the lines of her professors forehead and the panic they kept buried down for the sake of their students.
She wanted out of there – no she needed to leave. Their fear, anguish suffocated her and she couldn’t stand to watch another classmate succumb to the grief of losing a friend. And while she hadn’t been the one to do such a thing to this person, she knew his was how people suffered.
With tears clouding her eyes, the Hufflepuff eased her way through the crowd, keeping her head down as not to get caught by any lingering eyes. Maybe she’d been poisoned and maybe she didn’t care if she was – but she needed out.
{ x. madeline macmillan }:
So, there had been something off about Hogwarts afterall. It wasn’t just Victoire being suspicious, overprotective of her family & friends, it wasn’t just her wanting to find something to fight against ( she may have sometimes itched for chaos, but not like this ) but no, someone was poisoned. It was sneaky, it wasn’t something someone could just accidentally pull off. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw someone start to walk off.
Victoire recognized her -- Madeline ‘Maddie’ MacMillan, kind, sweet, Hufflepuff, sometimes snapped back if you pulled to hard but that was normal. Yet, she was walking off and Victoire decided to join her. Out, she needed out too. Slinking in her direction, Vic caught up with the Hufflepuff & whispered, “keep moving. Don’t say a word. Don’t protest me going with you, if you were going to, until we get out, alright?”

–––––– – “ alright , alright , alright. who do i thank for spiking the pumpkin juice & how much do i have to pay you to do something about the tragic music selection while you’re at it? ❜
------------ Victoire shimmied up to her cousin, a m i s c h e v o u s smile on her face. “You sadly can’t thank me, but I’m going to do something about the tragic music selection. It’s like Sargon’s music taste is still in the 1700′s. ❜
“Is this a muggle thing? Do they actually perform surgery using plastic? How cheap.”
“Ding, ding! This is a muggle thing. Yes, some muggles even have plastic sticking from their forehead. Like a unicorn. -- And hmm? Do you suggest they use another material? Have you had other sort of work done, Fulgora? I knew it! I can’t believe I doubted my seventh sense.”

❛ STRONG, FIERCE, A lover of dragons ——- what’s not to like? and if not that, then there’s the fact that james adores her and fulgora doesn’t. there’s also the hair. ❜

“Kind of a bitch, kind of hot – don’t tell ‘er I said that.”
*comes out to parents as the dragonborn*
“A ‘your grandmother’ might suffice, if she was colorblind and extraordinarily bibulous that particular evening. Dearest Auden seems something in you, so you’re not entirely a lost cause. An eyesore maybe, but there’s hope for you yet.”
“Alright, then I’ll say: I’m dressing like your grandmother would, if she was colorblind and extraordinarily bibulous this particular evening.” Victoire raised her eyebrows playfully, making sure to imitate his accent as she said the last sentence. “An eyesore? I guess I should be truly honored that you decide to even look my way and talk to you, shouldn’t I?”
“Must you always be so irritating? No, I didn’t. Maybe it’s just that your eyes finally magically healed and you can now see perfectly.”
“I could say the same for you, but that would be too easy and obvious of an insult. So, you know what plastic surgery is? Nah, I doubt it’s that. I’m still going with the plastic surgery idea, it’s a great visual.”
“And here I was thinking that our love was real. We just might have to break up if you make me gouge my eyes out.”
“Our love was real before you brought that turtle as your date instead of me. I think that’s grounds for breaking up, more than anything. Me making turtle soup out of Mercury could easily be considered a violent act of passion.”
“It’s just a toe. I’ll be fine. Maybe I should have you dance with me to see if it’s irreparably damaged, though.”
“You’re smooth, Auden. Does that line work on everyone? I wouldn’t be surprised.”
musings ( gwen & victoire ).
——— “ Isn’t it funny how some people are walking around with these odd smiles on their faces? If they just enjoyed themselves they’d have quite a bit more fun, don’t you think? ”
-- -- -- “I like the way you think. We should liven the party up a bit. How do you feel about firecrackers? And not the magical sort. Well, the magical sort will come a f t e r but -- I can’t reveal everything to you. You in or out?”
“If I hear one more joke about turning my turtle into soup I just might gouge my eyes out.”
“Dare I make a joke about turtle soup to see you g o u g e your eyes out?”
“What are you looking at? Don’t look so surprised that I’m capable of cleaning up nice.”
“Don’t look so surprised? It’s amazing what you can do with that face of yours, if anything. Did you get plastic surgery over the holls, Assius?”
