Quilty pleasures are still pleasures

MANIFESTO For a long time I didn't post my art anywhere or posted just 'the best pieces' because I didn't feel like a true artist, nor did I consider my character's drawings, personal pieces and silly jokes a true art. It's time to change that and to understand the simpe truth - if I've drawn something, then I did it for a reason or because I wanted to. In that way it's the art in the purest meaning of that world. I'm not really satisfied with the result, but taking into consideration that I drew it while being half-asleep, I'm proud of myself that it was created at all. Fire and dance. And henna.

Inktober day 3: Acorn witch Galadriel, from the Lord of the Rings. Initially being taken by Gimli and Rohirrim for the dangerous witch, later on she gives Sam the nut of the silver mallorn. I always imagined it as a sort acorn so there you go

As for I decided to take some inspiration for this year’s Inktober from amazing @djamilaknopf , there goes the first botanical witch from her prompt: the lavender one (yes, you have to believe that it’s something lavender-ish). ONLY THE PENITENT MAN WILL PASS.

Another practise at speedpainting. As for the Autumn is upon us, I've been thinking about reading some true gothic novel lately. Imagine my thrill while, in that mood of course, I started to watch the 'Altered Carbon" and saw the character of Poe there. Well played Netflix!

This year I also took part in @kyluxbigbang <3 I love this event as well as this ship so much that despite almost no time I gave it a shot! For this edition I’ve painted for an amazing story by @marlonbookcase which was based on irish folklore and mythology. I’m really interested in various kinds of lore, that’s why the choise was obvious for me. I also fell in love with the story from the first draft and I was so happy that I could illustrate it <3  I hope you’ll like both my paintings and “Beneath the Sky of Stars”
