Secret of NIMH was one of my absolute favorites when I was little, it's just the past 10 or so years that kids TV and entertainment has been dumbed down. Even Disney movies had dark scenes, or themes. We don't put enough faith in our children, it's the reason so many nowadays are so scared of life, why hey don't progress as fast as they used to. We aren't putting trust in our children, and they aren't prepared for life outside of easy happy fantasy.
