S3 of good omens isn't what it could've been, and you can tell it's supposed to be a bigger story. However,
-and here be many spoilers shead-
we got so many cool bits!
Long haired general aziraphale?! Oh baby that's juicyyyy no wonder he's so against destruction and war
Crowley not recognising him and aziraphale pretending not to?! Idk?! We always thought that that shock came for aziraphale in the garden of eden, but no. Thar makes that scene hit even harder now.
Ichor blood confirmedddddd
Aziraphale and the whole "getting the Bentley back" sequence like... Who is she?! Confident, cheeky, pulling a trickster-god- rigged-deal with a human? Centuries of doing the "wrong thing" but disguising it as the "heavenly thing" culminated here. Crowley must be so proud
Multiple silver fox crowleys 🤌🤌🤌🤌
The never ending pizza jesus gave the people
Lilac-eyed archangel aziraphale 🙏
The ending: Crowley seemingly got what he wanted, just the two of them, the bookstore, finally peace and quiet. And the realisation that it's utterly meaningless without humanity. Crowley getting god to listen to his question. Getting his wish, to get rid of the rigged, toxic system. To let his beautiful stars and nebulas unfold, governed only by the laws of the universe.
Aziraphale and Crowley finally succeeding in what they've always strived towards: protecting humanity. Their beloved earth
The "I'll find you in any lifetime" tropeeeeeeeee oh my goddddd. 💯💯💯💯 I know the fandom feared a human ending and while I get the grief, I'm like ... They got to be together, unburdened by the Sides. And it was an echo of how they met at the Beginning: someone deeply in love with the stars and someone very much charmed by that. Pulled into orbit. Oh, my heart
Seeing old queer men be so gd married and in love 🤌🤌🤌
Good omens "The finale"
How did they manage to give me everything I never wanted, everything I anxiously hoped WOULDN’T happen…
And still leave me satisfied and hopeful?
Like yeah it was rushed. But.. I mean… they didn’t send them to super hell either. So really, how can I complain? They got to find each other again and not have the hang ups of having sides…
I feel so full of love right now. I feel like maybe I’ll be ok. I just need to stop crying.
that post that's like. fans have got too used to acting as stakeholders. media analysis is about the narrative intentions not a checklist of what fans want. i think criticism of the finale because it didn't include specific elements we wanted to see is separate (if sometimes intertwined) from whether the narrative worked overall. because as an overall arc it makes sense. from the start they wanted an earth where humans could live their lives free to make their own choices, without interference or pre-determined rules and plans and divisions into heaven and hell. crowley believed the system couldn't be fixed, aziraphale believed god could be reasoned with, and in the end they were both right and they both got what they wanted: a chance for humans and them to make choices that were true to who they were. for crowley and aziraphale that was choosing each other. it always would be
Friendly reminder that "bury your gays" doesn't necessarily occur every time a gay character is killed off.
Bury Your gays as a trope has been noted in media since the late 1800s, and it was often employed by queer authors looking to write queer stories and still have them published while also avoiding being arrested themselves. Execution of the trope frequently involved one party dying or being pushed to the fringes of society, and the other turning to heterosexuality (x). For instance, consider Spring Fire (1952). Of course, language can expand and change over time, so the definition might look a bit different today.
By positioning Crowley and Aziraphale's destruction as nothing but an incidence of "bury your gays", we're denying the idea that queer characters can have complex, multifaceted stories which may sometimes, yes, involve death. For instance, consider Bill and Frank in HBO's The Last of Us. They both died, but they died together at the end of a long and happy life. Context matters.
In the case of Crowley and Aziraphale, the writers were trying to convey the message that a violent, oppressive system that is grounded in cruelty cannot be reformed. Rather, it has to be fundamentally uprooted and reimagined. This is the basis of much radical leftist theory and praxis.
Good representation doesn't just mean "perfect happily ever after wholesome uwu ending". It doesn't mean that every story has to end the same. In fact, demanding that every queer story eschew death would deny the intricacies inherent to queer experience, thereby collapsing us into a bland, uni-dimensional monolith. Which is not a vibe, honestly.
Also, we literally got them back at the end. WE GOT THEM BACK.
Still sort of processing how I feel about GO3… I don’t THINK I hate it??? But I get why some people do???
GO3
Ok but if Crowley didn't have his miracles, then that must mean Aziraphale is responsible for this slutty little outfit?! 🤣
Look who left hibernation! 😱
The reading comprehension and overall common sense on this website is piss poor.

Aragorn, next to a Pride flag, "You've already had Pride month"
Pippin: next to a Disabled Pride flag, "We've had one, yes, but what about second Pride month?" /ID]
