Began this short fan-comic back in 2023, one month before the finale aired. My goal was to finish the entire thing before uploading, however, my perfectionism ate me alive on this one. It became a sort of 'snake-eating-it's-own-tail,' wherein old pages I finished started to not look as good as the new, so I would go back to fix that...so on and so forth. Not to mention that one year after the show ended Dana confirmed backstory that totally deflated the crux of this fanfic, which discouraged me from working on it for some time.

Woof.

I've finally decided that if I don't start uploading this damn thing, it'll never see the light of day. So I'll be doing just that, beginning next week.

I've been seeing stardew inspired botanical prints all around the place, so thought I'd try my own hand at it! Winter had to include a few more of the special crops than originally intended, but I still love it tbh. What season is your favourite in stardew valley?

Being trans

•I grew up in a cis box as a girl, without a clue that I could change that. In high school, I learned about the existence of trans people, and of non-binary people. By college, I exclusively used they/them pronouns and continue to use them today. By that point, I still didn’t consider myself trans. Other queer people in my community would tell me that non-binary doesn’t count, that I need gender-affirming surgery to be considered trans, and that it’s trans-GENDER, which should go against the idea of non-binary. It wasn’t until I talked with other trans folk, who happily accepted me, that I felt comfortable identifying with “trans”.

•I’ve become comfortable with my chosen labels, which wasn’t always the case. I always felt uncomfortable in my skin, with my body, with these parts that are still used to define me as a woman, and without the money to change my physical appearance, I’m learning to live with it. Not everyone can do that. With the current politics in America, trans people are being used as a scapegoat for hate, all while just existing. And it’s disgusting! If you’re LGBTQIA+ or an ally, support your trans friends and family! Community is all we have right now, and we need to stick together.
