thank you anon! you aren't the first to suggest Ethel Cain songs 👀 the lyrics feel very poetic, melancholic and regretful, just like how I envision Nathan in his more lucid/come-down/panicking moments <3 I also love the way Ethel Cain uses a lot of visual metaphors packed into tight phrases that you can miss unless you're paying close attention to the words ('do you swing from your neck', 'I can lead you to bed but I can't make you sleep', 'chain link on your lungs, sulfuric acid in my brain')

I think this songs fits him perfectly — and the title being a direct allusion to BtS makes this even sweeter! (I'll also have to really go through and really listen to the rest of the Willoughby Tucker album now)

i actually do think you should draw clocky trans people. no i don’t think they’re a stereotype or caricature. i think that’s a horrible thing to say about real people who exist. i think that’s a horrible thing to say about my friends and my family. i want to see your art of a trans boy with curves and long hair and baby face because that’s me. i want to see your art of a tall trans girl with broad shoulders and facial hair because that’s my friend. stop being scared to draw the people you know.

I feel this on a deep and personal level and I know you're making a joke but I do also want to take this opportunity to pass along the biggest small piece of advice I've ever gotten: You don't have to explain every step of how something happened unless something unusual/important happens along the way.

You can simply cut to the next scene when she's at the location, without explaining how she got there. People will fill that in. Now, if something important happens in the car on the way there, then sure, mention it. But if she's just driving? Nah. Delete that sentence, pop in a scene break, and keep writing.
