So I got some good news, and I got some bad news

unfortunately there is more bad news than good news.

The good news is, I got my laptop back! And I managed to type that 87 page report back up in 4 days and hand it into my teacher on time! (and I got a really good grade on it, huzzah!) But… that’s all the good news there is….

The bad news is, my entire computer has lost everything on it. All my icons, character information, character biography sheets, pages and pages of documents, references, gone. Kaput.

The only stuff I managed to save was my mun icons, and a few Flounder icons. All the hundreds of icons that I spent hours making are gone. Plus everything involving my muses is gone, so I will have to spend the next several months trying to make up for everything that was lost.

BUT enough about the negative, another plus side is that I can work on drafts now! But things are still going to be very slow as I try to recover everything I’ve lost. Plus I’m going to a new school this year, and it’s been stressful enough. So bare with me over the next few months please! I’ll try to be more active I promise!

(( In case you guys don’t know already, my computer was giving me really bad issues over the past month. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to fix it, and the only way the people at geek squad could fix it was to delete everything on it. So all my Flounder icons are gone, except for a few that, quite frankly, look really bad.

So I’m not sure exactly when activity will resume on here. I need to make more icons for Flounder since all of them are gone, and try to recover all his character information pages. I apologize for the delay, but this is a really stressful time for me at the moment :T ))

Ariel swam around the sunken ship yard excitedly to have a chance to find more human things. She forgot about her friend far behind though. Ariel sighed and turned toward him waiting for him to speak.

Flounder yawned a little bit, swimming hard to catch up to Ariel. It was very early in the morning, and he could hardly sleep at all last night for whatever reason. So he wasn’t very thrilled when he was forced to get up earlier than usual to go somewhere with his friend.

“A-Ariel!” He yelped with tired, droopy eyes, “W-Where are we g-going? It’s not even light outside y-yet!”

“That’s her a-alight!” He chuckled, moving around to get closer to Seraphina, “I’d recognize her anywhere! She’s my b-best friend!”

“Y-You’re new?” Oh, that explains it then. “Cool! Where did y-you move here from? Unless uh... y-you’re just visiting.”

A shriek of terror came out of the fish as the sound of breaking glass was heard. It echoed for a few moments, then the horror of the situation was able to set in place for Flounder. “Oh no... Oh no oh no oh no this is bad, this is very very bad!” He looked at the broken glass, then back to the familiar mermaid. “Arista, this was one of Ariel’s favorite thingamajiggers! Oooh she’s never gonna forgive me for this, she’s gonna... gonna find out and she’s not gonna want to be my f-friend again ever, and-and...”

At this point Flounder was swimming back and forth, wallowing in his own scared thoughts. “What’re we going to do Arista? She’s going to kill me if she finds out about this!”

Elsa couldn’t help but to laugh at the curious, yet frightened fish. He really didn’t know much bout the world above waters, did he? Seeing as how afraid he is, seems as though he wishes not to get involved with it much.

“Well, in my case, one of them did come alive. But Olaf is very friendly. In fact, he enjoys summer, although he is not familiar with the consequences of being in the sun.” She laughed. “But most snowmen don’t come to life. Children create them for fun.”

Flounder cocked his head to the side curiously, blinking at the explanation. “So... So they d-don’t have scary teeth and claws?” He repeated with caution, since that part wasn’t really clarified for him, at least for his standards that it.

“H-How did Olaf come to life if they aren’t suppose to come to life?”

          “Flounder!” A disappointed frown crossed the young mermaid’s           features,  an expression  that happened  too frequently  when she           was  around  her friend  for his  own  good.  Ariel was  perhaps a           slightly  bad influence on the fish,  pushing him to have all sorts           of  “adventures”  with her  —  almost all of which landed Ariel in           trouble.   Of   course,   Flounder   never   had   to   fear   that. 

                                                               So what else was there to fear?

          “You  can’t  bail on me again  —  it’s  probably  safe this time!”

“Probably safe?!” The fish repeated with wide eyes, a scared look plastered all over his face. “Probably? That means your not one hundred-percent sure! Which means there is still a chance that we could be in trouble or-or something awful could happen to both of us!”

He crossed his fins at Ariel, “Unless you are one-hundred percent and downright certain that nothing b-bad is going to happen, I’m not going!” ... And there was no way she was going to convince him to go this time, absolutely not a chance!”

A Friend in Unfamiliar Waters

“Well, just b’cause ye’ve been ‘round this part don’t mean nothin’ might ‘appen,” Bruce continued with a nonchalant shrug. “Besides, sometimes the ocean can be a pretty dangerous place. Why-” he paused, leaning in closer. “Ye never know what ye’ll bump into, eh?” A booming chuckle erupted from the shark’s throat, vibrating through the surrounding, dark waters. 

“I’ll be honest with ye, morsel. I’ve ‘eard a lot ‘f lll’ fibs others’ve used to try and get ‘way, but that-” Bruce laughed boisterously. “-That is a new one.” Another dark snicker before the shark regained his composure. 

“Now… which way to this lil’ party ye’re goin’ to, eh?” the massive shark asked, his grin growing toothier with each passing moment. 

The fish gulped at the other’s reply, now knowing that the possibility of him getting out of this one was very slim. He had no where to go, and he wasn’t invited to any type of party today at all!

Flounder didn’t quite know how to get out of his current predicament. If he tried to flee, he’d most likely end up running right into the shark’s fin or into his mouth! But he didn’t want to lead the shark anywhere near Atlantica, especially since all his friends lived there!

Quivering with fright, he scoured himself for another explanation, but he couldn’t find any that could make any kind of logical sense. “B-But it’s true! Er... They’re allergic- I’M allergic!” He coughed loudly, trying horribly to imitate a real cough. Which had unfortunately failed miserably.

“Oh! He found it in the forest. He read in a book that it would help the bearer to blend in with humans or something like that. He has one just like mine!” She replied with a grin. “He’s a deer centaur. So it helps him appear human too!” She thought for a moment on his last question. “I think so. I haven’t actually seen where he got the crystals, just the crystals themselves. “

So there was hope that he could acquire one of those crystals after all! The ghost of a smile played at the edges of Flounder’s mouth, already thinking about what he could do if he got one of those crystals.

“Do... Do you think maybe I could get o-one of those? Pleeeeease?” The fish asked with wide eyes, hoping that the answer was going to be yes.

                 “—Alright, if you say so!” With a wide grin beginning to spread                  across her face, Ariel happily obliged her best friend’s wishes,                  stopping to sit down on a rock in her grotto and close her eyes.                  Though she still felt terrible for not even KNOWING about Best                  Friends Day, she couldn’t help but wait with eager anticipation to                  see what surprise Flounder had in store for her. He always had the                  BEST surprises, and Ariel was already beginning to think of how                  she would make it up to him. 

                                              “I’m READY when you are!”  

Flounder almost wiggled with excitement, waiting for Ariel to close her eyes. Not wanting to waste another second, he retrieved the item from behind one of the rocks. “Ok, open your eyes!”

In the fish’s fins was a beautiful necklace decorated with various small white shells. At the middle of the necklace was a big, vibrant crystal. The crystal was colorful and seemed to glow with an outlandish aura that looked to be different than anything in Ariel’s collection. It sparkled from the light of the grotto, showing various light patterns around the walls. “SURPRISE!” Flounder exclaimed, holding the jewelry up with pride.

“R-Remember that time we went to Quaking Canyon, and you r-really wanted to go to the Crystal Caverns, but I couldn’t go b-because my mom called me home early?” well maybe that last part was a lie but sssh he wasn’t going o ruin the moment by telling her that! “Well... I went back and got you a crystal out of there! It’s... It’s not very big... B-But I tried to bring back the best one I could find for my bestest of best friend!”
