you ever just stop and think about shisui's eyelashes
when the characters never really make peace with it
"they should be in a healthy relationship with good communication" they should be obsessive freaks who stalk each other and have zero boundaries
if you ever find yourself writing fanfiction and thinking "this is too indulgent" that is the devil talking and he can go ahead and shut the fuck up
Replied to a recent comment on a fic that I wrote years ago and then took the time to revisit previous comments and I say this with complete sincerity:
Leaving a comment on a fic provides compounding delight. Authors will love initially receiving a comment, will love later recalling this and that particular aspect of a comment, and they will love rereading comments and being reminded how readers enjoyed the work.
Comments are not a one-time act of kindness and consideration. They keep giving.
Thank you to those who take the time to give a nice word, describe an excited reaction, point out favorite parts, and generally let it be known that not only has the work been read but it had some effect. :)
when my kids are complaining about their undereye dark circles, dark blue eyes but mommy had a type.
HII! I hope you've been well <33! I recently reread one of your albedo fanfics called "Eudaimonia" and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. it was SO GOOD and made me want to conquer the world (☆▽☆) literally toe curling, feet kicking, heart breaking angst yet the dark romance was *CHEF KISS*!! You're genuinely one of [if not] THE most talented, hardworking, and amazing writers I've ever come across. I'm worried that you'd have lost interest in the fanfic or forgotten about it or even felt burnt out!! From how hard you worked on it, I can try to guess that you're a perfectionist :D which I completely understand, perfect things require a lot of time and energy c: but that sometimes leads to draining us or putting high expectations that end up delaying our results because the progress doesn't feel "good enough" :c sometimes it IS good enough, maybe even perfect the way it is, but the expectations we have for ourselves don't allow that T^T (I learned the hard way😓) it's true that I'd love to see more of your work into that fanfic! Albedo has always been a comfort character ever since genshin started, BUTTTT (and that's a big but) if you truly feel as if you cannot continue with it, then by all means!🫂 health always comes first c: <3!! And thank you so much for blessing the albedo community with your delightful writing!! I'm genuinely in love, it's so absolutely beautiful and well thought out!🫂 THANK YOU VIOLEAAA :DD I'm gonna go reread the fanfic again now hehehe, it was so good (人*´∀`)。*゚+ BYEBYEE :D<3 I hope you have a lovely morning/afternoon/day/evening/night!! (≧▽≦✿)♪♥
AHH THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I love Eudaimonia. It’s basically my love letter to Albedo. I actually had about 1/3 of the last chapter written out and an outline, but I lost it 😭 I used to write on my phone’s notes app, so when that got wrecked I lost all the writing I’ve ever done. I didn’t back it up to the cloud too because I’m an idiot lol. So it was really a bummer, but!! I think about continuing Eudaimonia every once in a while (like all my unfinished fics). It’s all there inside my head, the problem is actually putting it into words.
My initial outline had a bittersweet ending, because back then I still had the spine to swallow non happy endings lmao. Nowadays I can’t read anything unless it’s a happy ending sooo if (and that’s a big IF) I ever get to continuing Eudaimonia, it will be a happy ending!! I’m also gonna have to edit it to have consistent tenses because I wrote it at a time I considered grammar to be nothing but vibes.
finally finished s3 and i realize i am still that same teenager who is so unwell about yuuta
tried out a quicker rendering method
i miss playing genshin omg. scara has SO many screentime i would’ve been frothing at the mouth 3 years ago
larger than life
Hi, hi, hi, I'm so happy I found you! I love your Daeron fic Exit, Pursued by a Prince so much. I checked out your Ao3 profile and you linked your tumblr, but I think someting went wrong, because the link didn't work. So I just accepted that you probably deleted your blog, but you didn't and I found you! I'm so happy! 🤩
hi!! aw thank you! daeron was the one who got me into writing for asoiaf again so that fic holds a special place in my heart. as for the link, i forgot to update it when i changed my username 😆
the rubber duck
For anyone curious what they mean by the rubber duck, rubber duck debugging is a tactic used by programmers to figure out bugs in the code. To do it, they explain the code, verbally, line by line, to the rubber duck until they find it.
It’s also very useful for writers, and I’ve used it multiple times with rubber ducks, stuffed animals, and my friends.
“when i say it out loud i realize where the stupid was”
I literally cannot count the number of times I’ve gone to someone and told them ‘I can’t figure out what’s wrong with my story, please let me explain it to you’ and that was all it took. Sometimes they ask helpful questions like ‘did you remember to feed them’ or ‘so is this all on the same day’ but other times I don’t even need that, it just figures itself out as soon as I try to explain it to someone else.
It’s one of my go-to pieces of writing advice. You’re stuck on your story? sit down and tell me/someone all about it.
people have said good things about you behind your back, without your knowledge. people have shared their love for you with others.
maidens if you are going to flee dramatically from my castle in the middle of the night once i reveal my true nature to you please leave your candelabra on the little ledge by the portcullis we are running out of them
starting to think these maidens are stumbling in soaked through from the rain just to steal my beautiful gowns and homewear are any of you actually lost
At the checkout in Home Goods loading the belt with nothing but candelabras in all shapes & sizes while the cashier watches sympathetically and asks if it’s the maidens again
