Broke: Ned Stark is entirely driven by honour and that’s it.
Woke: Ned Stark is driven by compassion and family, and though he does try to be honourable where possible, he will always forsake it for his family.
It really is frustrating how audiences don’t seem to understand how to read between the lines or you know pay attention to the media they are consuming. Ned isn’t an honorable idiot. They conveniently ignore the times he’s thrown personal honor to the wind because his family is his real priority. Isn’t the greatest treason he committed in Westeros lying about his nephew’s paternity so baby Jon wouldn’t be brutally murdered?
Trouble is there is a good many people who can’t seem to deal with nuances, character complexity and subtle shifts in characters. To them, characters are either ‘good’ or ‘bad’ and they don’t understand divergences and subtle changes unless they are being hit over the head with it. Not to mention, they only acknowledge explicit characterisation, i.e. what they are being “told” about a character, and disregard implicit characterisation, i.e. what is being implied in the actions of the character. Unfortunately for them GRRM *is* a nuanced writer who implies more rather than explicitly blurting it out for the last idiot to understand. D&D were the opposite, which is why the show got so many characterisations so awfully wrong.
Aragorn was the one who spotted Sansa as she was directing people to healers. “Your Grace.”
She sighed in relief upon seeing him. “Lord Aragorn. It’s good to see you in one piece.”
He chuckled. “I can say the same.”
“Théoden King is looking for you.” She informed him. “Gandalf was with him. I believe they went to the main hall.”
“I’ll meet them there.” He promised. “Legolas is looking for you.” He grinned at her.
“I’ve been here for a while, so he isn’t looking properly.”
Aragorn laughed and left her so he could meet the King. Sansa turned around and almost hit Legolas.
“I wasn’t looking properly?” He asked with an arched eyebrow.
“At least you found me. Why were you looking for me?”
He touched her chin. “I wanted to know if you were safe.”
Sansa sighed. “As safe as anyone can be in the middle of this mess.”
“We were fortunate at the end.” Legolas admitted. Éomer’s arrival had saved them all.
She looked at him properly. “Are you sure you were fighting? You’re cleaner than me.”
The corner of his mouth tipped up. “I have a talent.”
Sansa snorted. “I’ll agree with that.” She sighed once again, this time tired. “We have so much to do.”
Legolas leaned his head until his forehead was resting against hers. “We do. But I’ll be here to help you. What do you need?”
“You should rest.” She pointed out.
He brushed his nose against hers and Sansa felt like she was losing a battle against her better judgement. “I can do that later.”
“What do you have to do now?”
He chuckled, his breath fanning her lips. “With your permission, Your Grace, I’d like to kiss you.”
“You’re asking for permission?”
“I’d never take anything from you, Sansa.” The hand that had been touching her chin moved, now cupping her face. “All I want from you has to be freely given.”
This elf…
“Then kiss me already, before I think of a good…”
He kissed her, not giving her time to think of a good reason to not do it.

Jon/Sansa #4?
I couldn’t think of a scenario that worked for me that hadn’t done by others (and better at that!) So I did an opposite—Sansa and Jon are together but when visiting the Stark house, are more or less told to keep to separate beds/rooms. There’s your context. Now, shenanigans!
Jon couldn’t decide which feeling was stronger— the ridiculousness of sneaking around his girlfriend’s parent’s house in the middle of the night, or the excitement of sneaking around his girlfriend’s parent’s house in the middle of the night.
If the fact that he was tip-toeing down the hallway like some cartoon character definitely leant itself to the ridiculous; he proceeded anyway and crept into her room.
In as smooth an action as he could manage, Jon slipped into Sansa’s bed and gathered her up into his arms—
And found himself with the wrong red head.
“Well, hullo Jon,” Robb rumbled, waking up.

Game of Thrones and Pokémon crossover because I haven’t painted anything own in a while and have probably forgotten how to do it.
Shout out to Liam Cunninham for telling the GOT showrunners to get fucked. I am so glad he stood his ground on this.

So the actors were really holding this show together with gum and paperclips, huh?
about: Jon & Sansa are on the run, fleeing along the freeway, flitting from one motel to another. Soon they find themselves far from home, each existing as the other’s only haven from the fragments of bitter, bloody memories that bond them. An autumnal, angsty (& explicit) one-shot.
» thank you for the interest in (another!) one of my wip titles @direwolfjon. ♡
A series of three artworks I commissioned from Martina a year and a half ago depicting the progression of Catelyn Tully of Riverrun -> Lady Stark -> Mother Merciless, also known as the Hangwoman, also known as Lady Stoneheart.
Heartbreaking progression from Maiden, to Mother, to Crone.
