Before / After
Almost a year of difference. A year of actively sharpening my skills. This year definitely wasnāt wasted. Iām proud of myself.

God, I love them so much šš©µ
Guys, I know Iāve been quiet for a while. After losing my younger dog, things were really hard for me, but little by little Iām rebuilding my inner resources again.
So I decided to sketch Roxanne a bit for practice āØ

The different dinner date concepts have me screaming!!!
"Disney laid off approximately 8% of Marvelās workforce this week across nearly every department ā film, TV, comics, franchise, legal, and finance. The visual development team ā the artists responsible for character and concept design across thirty MCU films ā was almost entirely eliminated, replaced by a skeleton crew overseeing outside contractors hired project by project (and using AI). Weāve seen this movie! When Jeffrey Katzenberg increased Disney animation staffing and drove a new feature every year instead of every two to four, the result was the Disney Renaissance: The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King. Then Katzenberg was pushed out, Toy Story arrived, and Disney decided CGI meant it could cost-cut its artists. The Burbank hand-drawn studio closed in 2002, and what followed was Chicken Little and Treasure Planet. Disney then spent $7.4 billion acquiring Pixar ā essentially repurchasing the creative culture it had liquidated ā and got Frozen and Moana in return. The value of a creative company is in its people and culture, not its intellectual property or infrastructure. Disney already paid $7.4 billion to learn that. The visual development team isnāt a line item ā they are the source code. Disney is going to spend the next decade wondering why nothing looks distinctive anymore, why no one is streaming, and then theyāll acquire whatever studio figured out how to do it right."

"Uh, could someone stamp my frequent kidnapping card?"
Okay, okay, I just really wanted to show this, alright? Iām just going to leave it here and go to bed feeling very proud of myself, because I genuinely love everything about this art.
For the first time in a while, I actually like everything in this art. Iām satisfied.
Weāll keep working.
I still have to render the city behind them⦠āØ

I mostly use setepenre_set's fanfics as inspiration for my AU, and they had a lot of posts about Mega's clothes
I wanted So'la to look like a sea wave
All the fanfiction I've read about Roxanne stealing Megamind's cape has finally paid off
If this doesnāt become a trend, I wonāt be offended.
All three of them ā Yavik.
The tiny one is 5 days old.
The slightly bigger one is 6ā7 years old.
And the last one is him as an adult.
The song I imagined this to is actually an AI cover. I always cry like a whale to the originalš
Why did I actually dislike SAI 2 so much? It literally meets all my needs as a programā¦
Anyway, these are some late-night sketch.
This honestly looks like it could be a fanfic cover, doesnāt it?
I didnāt want to accept that Iād have to cry over losing my favorite āDetailsā brush in SAI for the rest of my life, just because my computer absolutely refused to run the first SAI. Yes, the cracked one, to be clear.
I never really grew to love SAI 2 that muchā¦
But life changes. And apparently, so do my feelings about SAI 2.
I installed it. Somehow tweaked the settings to what I needed. And now Iām ridiculously happy.
Finally, SAI is going to work properly on my main computer, and I wonāt have to keep doing ritual dances with a tambourine to make it run š„°
I was sad that Megamind's planet and people were dead, so I wanted an alternate storyline where the black hole that swallowed them instead spit them out into some kind of timeless void, from which they managed to escape much later. Essentially, they became a wandering people on a "mothership" without a planet, traveling for many long years.
Megamind's parents are also there, having long lost hope of finding their son or even believing he survived. But over time, they pick up a signal from Megamind's dummy, and that's how they arrive on Earth.
Aside from a very dramatic and tearful reunion, there's also the storyline of Megamind's people searching for a new homeāand of course, one option is to stay and live on Earth. But for that to happen, both they and the humans need to adapt.
This is where I came up with two original characters and a separate plot thread:
Sola is an emissary sent on behalf of Megamind's people to represent them to humanity. She is ambitious, flexible, and open to making contact. The way she presents her people will directly determine whether they finally gain a home on Earth.
Ariston is her friend and partner in this peaceful mission... essentially, he's the embodiment of Spock, because I couldn't resist. Strict, all logic, and no unnecessary emotions (except for the fact that he's hopelessly in love with Solaāthough he doesnāt understand it himself, nor can he show it, which leads to plenty of misunderstandings and arguments between them). He also cares deeply about the safety of his people and dislikes humans, viewing them as savages. However, he has to keep quiet about it, because yes, they need a homeāand there arenāt that many habitable planets left.

A moment from the main story.
Yavik hates the fishy smell, and holding live fish in his hands is generally torture. But! What wouldn't you do for a newborn... hungry DRAGON
/Yes, Yavik's human form is a real albino. And how else do you suggest hiding ruby eyes when they overlap all the colors of contact lenses?š/
