My firm opinion on Good Omens right now is the same I had and still have for Harry Potter.

You CAN enjoy a fandom without supporting the original content creator.

You CAN create and have fun and love a fandom without supporting the original content creator.

You CAN share and support and love fandom creators without supporting the original content creator.

You CAN financially help the fandom creators within said community WITHOUT financially supporting the original content creator.

There are so many ways to keep loving something that has given you so many feelings, inspiration, love, community, support, and more, WITHOUT supporting the original content creator.

You do NOT need to tear down, cancel, berate, and be absolute vile human beings to people and fandom creators simply for holding on to a fandom that has given them so much just because the original content creator turned out to be a disgusting and toxic person.

Keep your community. Cut the toxic pieces out as much as you can. Cut the original creator out as much as you can.

I understand if you decide to unfollow or block me for this but I will not change my mind and I will ignore any and all hate directed at me for this so if you want to waste your time and energy go ahead, you will be blocked. Which is my right as much as it is yours to block me.

I support the fandom, not the fuckery.

I think it's important to know that Rhianna Pratchett reposted this. I totally understand being disappointed, but there were people behind the scenes fighting for those 90 minutes instead of nothing. And I trust in the team that will be in charge of those 90 minutes.

I'm actually relieved as fuck that SOMETHING has been confirmed. I can live with the equivalent of 2 episodes running time instead of 6, which presumably will force them to pare the content down to the Main Thing which is what I'm most interested in anyway.

I've seen so many people cry that this ninety-minute TV movie is worse than being cancelled, that it's gonna be rushed and awful and is an insult to the fans of the show, and I'm just like...

ok. Y'all do you I guess.

But at least this way we get an ending. And it's in the hands of someone who knew Terry well and can make sure his last wish for GO is carried out. And who knows, it could end up being really good.

Also, this way lets the people who loved working on the show see it to its conclusion, even if it's not the conclusion they might have wanted. If we're being realistic, there's really only two major plots that need to be resolved, and with a good writing team, it can be done in 90 minutes.

While the majority of fans seem to think cancelling it outright would've been better, I personally would've been devastated if it had. In a world of unfinished stories (looking at you OFMD) I'm just happy that this one will be.
