Hey Darlings!
So tomorrow is my birthday so I wont be on until late! BUT if you want to plot connections or anything let me know by liking this or if you want a personal starter, HMU
Fairy gardens were scattered all around Hollowcrest, small areas of greenery that were meant to make the Fae there feel comfortable. Whenever Marie felt a little homesick and missed her father, she would visit one around the corner from her apartment. There was something about the overgrown plants, mushrooms and bugs that soothed her soul. It was a perfect alternative to traveling home. With her eyes closed, she relaxed back against the bench, though footsteps startled her, alerting her to someone elseâs presence. âExcuse me!â She snapped her eyes open, âCanât you walk a little quieter? This is meant to be a place of relaxation, thanks.âÂ
Home. Stepping into the fairy garden gave the fallen princess a sense of security and warmth. How she missed flying around the fields with her brothers and ladies, laughing and soaking in the warm sun. Sometimes she wondered if she would be able to return home to open arms or if she would be met with harshness and rejection. It had been seven long years and for Vi that felt like a lifetime. Unaware of the other in the garden, she snapped her head in shock from being yelled out. âPardon me, I did not mean to make so much noise. Forgive me.â She said towards the person she still could not see from where she was standing.
Vi smiled kindly as the new arrival, nodding her head. âWell of course. Take your time looking around.â Her hand spinned in a small circle as she stirred her own cup of ginger tea. âLet me know if you have questions about the teas or kettles on the shelves. Iâll be more than happy to help you.â
Vi sighed softly as his frustration, she could feel how much potential he had but sensed the stubbornness to accept it.  âPatience, Al. It is your friend if you allow it to be.â She bite her bottom lip as she tried to find the right words to say. He was never the type to accept a kind word verses a harsh talking to. âMagic is a hard thing to master and it took my years to master my own. You will master it and I am sure your grandmother will understand. I guarantee you that learning her own magic was no easy feat. âÂ
It warmed her heart to see someone so interested in her species. Vi loved exchanging knowledge with those who sought it out. âWe do not. It begins to show when we enter adolescence, it also then that we find out what element we can master. I am not sure if it is genetic or not. But My mother is fire and my father is earth so I do not believe so.â She sipped her tea quietly, thinking back to see if there was anything she could remember anything of importance. âOf course, dear. Anytime Iâm not busy with the shop, Iâd be glad too.â
âAh well my magic I began my training in about 10 or so when it started to show itself more and more.â She said, her dark eyebrows meeting together as she tried to exactly remember. âYeah I believe that I might be the only one so far. We donât often like to visit the human realm unless it is to help or harm a human.â Grabbing her own cup of tea, she sipped it softly as they spoke. âThere is nothing wrong with curiosity. We can compare magic if you wish.â
Her eyes studied the creature before, smiling softly as she spoke. âWell Welcome to Tea Time. I can make you a cup of tea and I have plenty if you want to take some with you.â VI got to work on making a fresh cup quickly before placing it in front of her. The rose gold glass was filled with a soft yellow liquid with a curl of smoke rose from it. âHere have a taste.â
Thinking for a moment, Vi turned to her jars of tea as she looked for the right one. âAh Ha! Give just a few moments, I have the perfect blend for you.â Setting to work, Vi grabbed a few jars and began placing a few things together in a large stone mortar and pestle. With she set to work on grinding them together, a large pot of hot water screamed to a boil. In a blur of hands and hums, she placed a small tin in front of the brunette wolf along with a cup of tea. âNow let this tea sit in hot water for about five minutes and drink about half an hour before bedtime.â She pushed the tea forward as the liquid swirled softly inside,â This is just some lemon balm tea to help ease any tension you may have during the day.â
A soft sigh left her parted lips and gave him a reassuring smile. âI am sure, Al. We all have days when we are less in control of our abilities. You are still learning.â Her eyes wandered the scene before them, surveying the likelihood of growth. âI am not pity complimenting you. I have always told you the truth. Besides, most of this will be repaired and the plants will regrow.â Her hand landed on his shoulder for a gentle pat. âDonât be so hard on yourself.â
Vi smiled softly at the young witch as she watched her. âKind of you to say.â She replied, âWell Iâve been making tea professionally for six years but Iâve been making tea for about 200 or so. Give or take a decade.â Thinking back, the fae could remember her first time and how at awe she was with it all. Being at the time a young fae of 27, now it seemed like a lifetime ago. âUnless you mean my magic?âÂ
âI see.â She said, nodding her head as if agreeing with him. âPerhaps you should try and practice somewhere with less trees and bushes to burn. With supervision, maybe or even a fire extinguisher close by.â Not wanting to discourage him, Vi tried to encourage him âAlexander, If it helps you were doing really good until you broke concentration.âÂ
âComing right up.â Vi smiled as she turned around to her wall of tea. Selecting the correct one, she packed it in the strainer. While this process took a bit longer, the fae felt it made the tea taste better if it was fresh. She placed the strainer in hot water and let it sit as she grabbed a fresh tea cup adorned with golden flowers and a matching plate. Pouring the correct amount of milk into the cup, she poured the freshly seeped tea over. Using her ability, she stirred the tea gently before handing it to her. âOne black tea with milk.â
Seeing as she was in a supernatural town, she wasnât often surprised when someone approached with having never had tea before. The thought of introducing someone to wonders of teas made her smile brightly. âWell okay. Seeing at it is your first time, how about I make you something simple? Say mint perhaps or jasmine tea?â Vi asked, âOr even a simple black tea?â
Vi smiled and laughed softly. âIâm sure your intentions were pure. While that might be, I feel as if a lantern or even, letâs say, a flashlight would be better to navigate around. You are lucky we were near water or else, this would have been a lot worse.â Â
âlisten, itâs not my fault. shit just catches on fire so easily and this entire town is full of green stuff that lights up the moment you touch it. all i was doing was lighting candles- i didnât mean to cause that much damage.âÂ
â You didnât mean to cause THAT much damage. That is the key word, sir. Who lights candles that close to greenery anyways?â She teased, playfully.Â
Busing herself with inventory, Vi lost herself in the sweet sounds of the finest jazz musicians. Her shop was filled with a few regulars today whoâs idle chit chat buzzed quietly in the background. The aroma of freshly made mint and jasmine tea fragranced the air in a warm blanket of relaxation. A small jingle of the bell broke her concentration and looked up to smile at who had entered. âHello. What can I get you?â
