Smart You

Every now and again after weeks of having your head down, you get the shock of several projects being published simultaneously!

One of them that I was lucky enough to work on was voicing a number of characters in this gorgeous animated series called Smart You. You can hear me as the voice of Zoe, May, the programmer aaand that angry lady in the crowd...

Feedback is imperative! Checking in during and after a job ensures you have everything you need - to an exceptional standard. This propensity for pleasing others is how I've approached my work my whole life, since kindergarten.

I decided to try something I learned recently from Jason at Extra Terrible, and throw client feedback I've received into a word cloud to identify any performance trends:

I'm quite chuffed with the result! I can see through hard data (I love spreadsheets and metrics too!) that I am providing the level of professionalism that I would appreciate to receive myself:

- Commitment to quality, performance and story

- Attention to detail

- Candour in communication

- Making work a pleasant, fun experience!

- ... and consistently applying all of the above

Only part of my role is providing the product. Another part is delivering it through a level of service that makes you feel BLOWN AWAY by the experience.

Profile of a Twitch influencer turned voice artist

On the lead up to International Women's Day we caught up with Nina Nikolic - an animation graduate from SAE Melbourne. In this interview, Nina shares her experience working at two of the biggest video game developers, EA and Bandai Namco; explains her decision to stream under a secret pseudonym for two years on Twitch; and how she found her calling as a professional voice over artist.

Episode 6 of Ughgh... Magical Boys is out NOW on YouTube! ICYMI: I play Cyrene, the boss of the place, who was an absolute joy to play. Everyone sees her as the mean-spirited villain who hates everybody, but I felt parts of her that I can only hope translated to the final production. It’s fun to throw a tantrum in the booth by yourself, but definitely not as easy as having someone in front of you to throw one at ;) Stay tuned for a few of my fave quips of hers dripping into your feed soon. Definitely had to reach for my inner Trunchbull with this one!
