I'm making the entire Wizard's Companion for a cosplay. I've already painted the cover, formatted and recolored 340+ pages, and hand stained over 100 sheets of paper.

Update!!!

The pages have been bound!! All 344 pages (86 double sided pieces of paper) have been printed, stained, pressed, and organized. I'm taking a short break to work on other projects and save some money for materials.

I want to answer a few questions I've gotten about this project.

First off, this is a competition piece! I plan on entering it into local cosplay competitions starting this fall.

I've never made a book before! I have about half a decades worth of prop making experience but most of my work is in mask making.

Finally, I plan on uploading 3 different pdf versions of The Wizard's Companion so that you or someone with more experience than me can make this. One version will just be all 344 pages unaltered, then one formatted to fit on 86 double sided sheets of paper, and finally one formatted and then color corrected to be more printer ink friendly. This will be one of the very last things i do for this whole cosplay so it will be towards the end of summer when that happens.

HRT bans, criminalization of "indecent" cross-dressing, and bathroom bans were already in place in most red states, even with a blue president. workplace discrimination based on gender presentation is basically already legal there too.

lucky for me i have a natural screen time deterrent because everytime someone mentions an insane ED dieting trend on tiktok, which these days has been within less than 5 minutes from opening the app, im compelled to calmly set my phone down, walk outside barefoot until i reach the nearest body of water, stand in it, and then scream until my throat is so hoarse it wins the kentucky derby and eventually has to be shot after breaking its leg
