INDEFINITE HIATUS

this is it. the moment you’ve all been waiting for. i no longer have muse. i am retiring from my current muses. i will allow my queue to run out and then that’ll be the end. i will no longer be writing as stiles stilinski, nor will i be keeping elias alive, either. this has been a decision i have been pondering for a while now and i’ve finally made my decision. i love everyone i’ve met, so much, and i hope, when i conjure my new muse, you will follow me there. if not, just know that i will miss you very much and i will not forget any of you. this has been a long time coming. i have found myself needing to free myself of both the teen wolf fandom and from certain roleplayers. i have been having anxiety and panic attacks almost daily for over a week now and i know if i tried to come back, that would only get worse. the love of my life might be leaving me forever and i am so torn up about it that i have to escape everything. i can’t continue writing here, i can’t continue to be here, when my heart is being torn in two. stiles and elias deserve better. you all deserve better. my new muse will be in the works and i will, eventually, share him with all of you, when i get him set up and created. it may take days or weeks before this happens, but that…i think this is for the best. i will no longer be referring myself as remmy coyote here. i’ll be going by my real, actual, name, which you will all discover fairly soon, when i finally share my new muse. that’s all. i’m sorry. i love you.

he wasn’t wrong and stiles probably should have remembered that. he pressed his lips together, trying his best to NOT freak out. ‘ okay, okay. what do you want me to do for you, derek? are you sure i can even HELP you? maybe you should ask scott---i’m no werewolf. ’

It wasn’t long before Malia was shifting until their lips met one another, the close embrace missing that simple action. The one thing that often brought the most comfort between them. Malia wasn’t big on words, but could show her affection through touch. She kissed him again, slowly, and pulled him  closer against her body.

stiles made a small happy noise when their lips touched and he was quick to return the gesture as he wrapped his arms around her tightly, keeping her close. he breathed gently against her skin, brushing his nose against it. the kiss was nothing more than GENTLE, but it had his heart racing rapidly in his chest. god, he missed her.

stiles, by definition, was loitering around as he waited for his best friend inside of his bedroom, waiting for him to come out of the bathroom. it was odd--scott was being odd and had been for a while now. honestly, stiles wasn’t even sure what was going on with his best friend. when he finally came out, stiles sat up from his bed and tilted his head slightly at the alpha’s words. ‘ yeah---okay. so what’s up? ’

She was finishing up some papers for her dad in the local coffee shop, when she catches someone staring at her, his business suit gives him away as a business man, but he seems too nervous, maybe..something else? She’s not sure, but she knows that he’s been staring at her for the past twenty minutes, and she wants to know why. Slowly, she makes her way over to him, coffee in hand, as she sits by him, setting her papers down. “I’m not interested if anything you’re selling, if the angle you were going for, by the way you were looking at me.” Malia automatically tells him, looking into his brown eyes. She can’t deny he is handsome though, with his black suit on, and red tie, that was a little crooked, but she found it cute. Brown eyes drift back to his face, oh god, she was just checking him out, she hope he didn’t notice. Before he has a chance to speak again, her cheeks heat up, slightly. “I’m Malia.” She blurts out, taking a sip of coffee, before she says something more embarrassing.

stiles hadn’t INTENDED on staring at her. he really hadn’t, but unfortunately, he can only control so much of what his body does. okay, he probably could have looked away, but she was gorgeous---who wouldn’t stare at her? besides, he needed a distraction. it had been his first day at the job and it had been a little..overwhelming. when she caught him, stiles ducked his head in slight embarrassment and giving out a small nervous laugh when she spoke. ‘ no, no, i’m not trying to sell you anything. honestly. i’m not even---i’m not that kind of businessman. i’m not even a businessman. not yet. erm... ’ okay and now he’s rambling. great way to get a girl’s attention. but then when he fully realized she was sitting next to him, he exhaled sharply and proceeded to give her a small smile that slowly began to spread. ‘ nice to meet you, malia. i’m stiles. ’ he grabs his own drink---it’s tea, not coffee, as he really doesn’t need the caffeine at the moment---and takes a small drink as he watches her.

                 the   taste  of   BLOOD   floods  his  mouth,    though  it’s  entirely  his  own,   a  result  and  a  consequence  of  his  violent  tendencies,   of  his  propensity  to  react  with  flaming  anger.    his   VICTIM   is  long  gone,   surely  to  tend  to  their  wounds  and   thank  the  void  that  is  heaven   that  they  had  been  spared  in  the  hands  of  a  beast  like  him.  he’s  left  now  with  a  mouth  stained  red,   an  ACHE  pulsing  around  his  mouth,   one  that  cannot  even  begin  to  compare  the  ache   constantly   eating  at  his  heart.   although  he’s  just  recently   gotten  out   of  a  fight,    anger  still  prickles  at  his  skin,    spiking  immediately  in  response  to  the  teenager’s  curious   (   maybe  disgusted   )   gaze.        ❛      what  the   FUCK   are  you  lookin’  at    ?    don’t  act  like  you’ve  never  seen  a  beat up  dude  before.   just  know  that   THE  OTHER  GUY   looks  way  worse.   has  more  than  just  a  fat  lip  to  worry  about.     ❜

well, it just had to be his luck to round a corner and end up face to face in a...particularly awkward situation. his eyes are trailing everywhere---he can’t keep them in one particular spot until his eyes finally fall onto the guy speaking to him. he’s licking his lips slowly and straightens his back. his eyes DO drift towards the body as he speaks, his eyes squinting every so slightly. ‘ oh no, i’ve seen guys beaten up before. ’ he’s taking a step forward, cautiously, but with a slight glare. ‘ he does look a lot worse. he’s not BREATHING, is he? ’ does he care? probably not. he’s more interested in the guy standing in front of him than the body, anyways.

Malia hadn’t exactly expected to develop magical abilities. Sure, she’d known she was adopted, but the prospect of being a witch hadn’t ever seriously crossed her mind. Until she accidentally set the cake she’d gotten on her sixteenth birthday on fire. Seemed pretty hard to deny after that. 

So, Malia adjusted. There weren’t a lot of witches in the world, but there were enough to know she could still live a fairly normal life. While it was quite the shock, it wasn’t the end of the world. Things could have been worse. 

While the brunette had far from mastered her abilities, she had a decent amount of control. She wouldn’t be setting anymore cakes ON FIRE at least. 

One of the things she’d learned helped was taking walks in the forest. Pent up stress tended to cause unintentional outbursts with her powers. So, she was doing her best to stay clear-headed. Walking around the forest helped - she found something about being alone with her thoughts relaxing. 

Until she saw a fox. Like a very particular fox. The kind of fox whose eyes glowed brightly when it saw her, and left her body BUZZING in a way she felt down to her soul. 

It was almost like what the girl imagined teleporting to be like. As for a few seconds her entire body hummed with sensation. Like everything in her was trying to get her attention, to say ‘ hey wait this is important ‘ don’t walk away. 

In retrospect, it was a bit odd how quickly she recognized what this was. The fox was her familiar. Witches themselves were a bit of a rarity, and familiars even more so. And still, Malia didn’t doubt what was happening, her biggest concern fell on something else instead. 

Uncertainty shifted quickly into the pits of her stomach, replacing the lingerings of the previous prickling she’d felt. Malia wasn’t exactly sure what the etiquette for this situation was. It wasn’t uncommon for her to feel out of place in social situations, but meeting her familiar felt like a pretty bad time to be at a loss. After a silence Malia thought was probably too long, she spoke.

“ … Hi … ? “

The fox had been watching her for some time now---he had felt drawn to her, as every familiar had when they met their witch. it was an instant connection and he’d know when the perfect time to approach would be. there were stories of what a familiar was meant to be, but none of them quite hit the spot---they never completely understood the importance of them, not really. a familiar would be a constant companion. it was what he was raised up to become. not every familiar would find their witch, and for many that would be okay, because familiars could live for centuries on their own--but even longer when they were connected, when they became bonded. he had grown up to become bonded. he felt it in his very core that this was what he was meant to do. he would not become just another creature in the world. his witch was out there. when he saw her, the fox knew. he knew because he’d been drawn to her his entire life. he knew because of the way his soul lit up when he was near her, the way his eyes glowed when he first laid eyes on her and every time after then. she was HIS witch and he was her familiar. when he came to her, when she finally saw him, he knew it was time. he was curled up, waiting for her and when their eyes met, he could feel his eyes glow and he made a small yip of a sound to tell her he understood. it was then that the fox got to his paws an confidently made his way to her. he didn’t hesitate to nuzzle her legs, almost like a feline, and he could feel magic surging through the both of them. this is what he had been waiting for his entire life.

There was a deep sense of satisfaction at the glistening of tears in his eyes and a grin curled upon her lips. “Aren’t I? What makes you so sure?“ Shiloh had always been in her twin’s shadow. From the pack to home and there was always some deep seeded resentment there.

“There hs to be some sort of truth for me to be able to feel it so strongly, but you do know that you’re the reason she’s gone, right? The reason she gave up and gave in to me finally. It was tragic, really. Her pain at the rejection from the only person that mattered. You broke her heart, Stiles. You allowed this to happen, think of that.“

OUCH. her words hit home and stiles could feel his world crashing down around him. everything she said---everything makes sense, but he KNOWS it can’t be true. shiloh would never give in. she couldn’t. that was supposed to be him----he was supposed to be the one going through this, not her.         ‘ she’s not gone. you’re lying. ’ it’s all he can respond to, all he can mutter through a choked back sob. his sister...she just couldn’t be gone. she just couldn’t be.

             The stranger had seated himself on the hood of the pale blue jeep that belonged to Stiles. It was in the perfect spot to get an optimal amount of sun exposure while he waited for the student to eventually return to his jeep.

            Once the teen had shown himself and given Rabbit a good confused/pissed glare Rabbit left his spot on the hood. He walked smoothly over to Stiles with his hand out to shake. A decoy really.

                                                  “Stiles? You’re Stiles, right?”

well, his day was already weird. why not make it more so when he walked out to find someone SITTING on the hood of his jeep. he sent the boy a glare, his lips almost pulled up into a snarl before he straightened his posture and took a timid step forward.            ‘ uh---yeah. and why were you sitting on my jeep? i didn’t give you permission to do that. ’ he looked down at his hand, contemplated on ignoring it, and then stiffly took it into his with a glare aimed in his direction. ‘ ---and who are you? ’
