hi everyone sorry i know i said i would be queueing those starters but i have really not been feeling great on nat lately idk it’s just a mixture of a lot of things and every time i’m on her i’m feel very meh so i might just take a small break from nat and focus on my oc @evergrein and my multi @bonvivante but mostly my oc i think!

there  is  something  about  their  air  which  is  unsettling.    it’s  thick,   dense  with  the  unknown  which  lurks  so  effortlessly.     everyone  is  on  edge;    it’s  evident  in  the  way  everyone  shifts  slowly  with  cautious  temptation  and  the  hushed  whispers  which  edge  on  the  line  of  the  trees.    she  settles  herself  next  to  @deficio​  silently  at  first,    allowing  her  presence  to  be  known  before  she  speaks  up.    she  is  often  a  woman  who  throws  caution  to  the  wind,   dancing  on  the  tilting  tight  rope  which  hangs  high  above  heads     .   .   .      but  circumstances  change.     loss  does  that.

a  minute,    maybe  two,    pass  in  the  comfortable  yet  teetering  silence  before  she  shifts  her  gaze,   neck  craning  to  the  side  to  look  on  at  him.      ‟    what’s  on  your  mind?   ”      she  questions  with  a  subtle  intent      ──      not  necessarily  pushing,   but  pressing  for  truth.    ‟    be  honest.   ”

she  could  burn  for  him,    drawn  from  the  simmering  embers  in  his  gaze.    there’s  very  little  she  wouldn’t  do  for  him,   in  fact,   but  this?    this  was  no  more  of  a  possibility  than  the  earth  splitting  in  the  middle  below  her  feet  and  swallowing  her  into  its’  fiery  core;    which,   coincidentally,    she  wished  would  happen  now.    a  loud  groan  pulled  from  strawberry  -  stained  lips,   her  eyebrows  are  drawn  together  in  a  deep  furrow  as  she  settles  the  light  of  her  eyes  on  him.        ‟    no.   ”     there’s  a  sternness  to  her  voice,   further  fixated  on  the  way  her  arms  cross  over  her  heaving  chest  and  the  manner  in  which  her  lips  settle  into  a  strict  line.    and  her  gaze  that’s  set  on  @gentsleuth​?    if  looks  could  kill.     

finally,    her  arms  break  and  she  reaches  forward  to  grab  the  ticket  left  before  her  on  the  table.       ‟    absolutely  not,   benoit.   i  am  not  going.   this  is  not  what  i  thought  you  meant  by  date  night.   ”

by  the  middle  of  the  week,    where  the  days  begin  bleeding  into  each  other,    a  weariness  sinks  into  her  bones.    they’re  both  tired;    you  can  see  it  in  the  way  their  eyes  glaze  over      .  .  .      the  slower  movement  of  frames.    she  rests  on  the  elbows  of  her  arms,    her  second  drink  is  halfway  finished  and  a  small  yellow  folder  with  lined  sheets  peeking  out  from  it  rests  on  the  bar  between  them.     she  cants  her  head  to  gaze  at  @moonswove​,     whose  focus  is  more  acute  than  hers  at  the  moment,   and  the  crimson  lines  of  her  lips  softens.    

he  seems  to  have  captured  a  stranger’s  attention,   piqued  from  the  small  table  just  behind  them  to  the  right.        ‟    hey,   ”      her  voice  is  quiet,   kept  in  the  back  of  her  throat  as  she  nudges  her  elbow  into  his  arm.    a  sudden  playfulness  paints  itself  onto  her  features,   further  exuded  through  her  subtle  arch  of  a  brow.      ‟    looks  like  someone  has  a  crush  on  you.   ”

forgive  the  brutality  which  seeks  a  home  in  the  shallow  of  her  bones;    the  violence  is  all  it’s  ever  known.    natalia  is  self   -   aware,   evidently,   and  as  such,   knows  that  her  approach  to  certain  situations  was  not  necessarily  a  normality  compared  to  others.     and  certainly,   never  the  easiest  option.     but  she  unfurls  beneath    the  complexities  of  the  trade       ──       the  assurance  of  the  unknown  constantly  forging  new  veins  of  stories  no  one  will  ever  truly  grasp.     so  she  glides  in  the  darkness  and  allows  the  obscurity  to  wrap  its’  shadows  around  her  shifting  frame,    curious  gaze  glancing  over  belongings  which  lay  about.

there  is  little  which  strikes  fear  into  her  beating  chest,    she  is  sturdy  in  a  world  which  was  otherwise  shaky.   with  circumstances  of  chaos  and  a  brutality  -  based  upbringing,   the  honey  tint  of  her  gaze  has  seen  far  more  than  one  should.   and  still,   there  was  a  vast  expanse  of  unknown  which  had  yet  been  touched  by  the  widow’s  grasp;    so  when  the  coffee  cup  sitting  on  a  wide  wooden  table  shifts    ( or,   perhaps  she’s  looking  at  it  too  hard    .  .  .    seeing  things. )     she  immediately  fixates  her  desperate  gaze  on  @fantasms​.  

         ‟    sabrina,   ”      her  voice  calls  forth,   beckoning  her  immediate  attention  with  the  gentle  strain  of  her  tone.    a  subtle  breath  is  sucked  in  between  her  clenched  teeth,   brows  pulling  together  in  a  deep  furrow.      ‟    please  tell  me  you  just  moved  that.   ”

all  the  souls  which  roam  the  expanse  before  them  are  mere  vessels  of  memories  and  sentiment;    there  is  little  further  motivating  hasty  movement  than  a  shrouded  memory  found  deep  in  the  crevices  of  one’s  mind.   it’s  the  inclination  for  bias,   the  penchant  for  emotion  which  dictates  life      ──      perhaps,   circumstance  and  the  consequences  of,   are  often  tempted  by  the  lines  of  fate.    sunglasses  sit  on  the  bridge  of  her  nose,   dark  like  the  clothing  which  swallows  her.        ‟   @reignthem​,   ”        she  echoes  her  name  just  as  she  comes  into  view,    approaching  her  vehicle.    the  choice  of  transport  was  telling.

her  frame  moves  from  the  wall  where  she’d  just  been  casually  leaning  on  as  she  draws  nearer,    lithe  limbs  carrying  her  as  swiftly  as  air.        ‟   the  soccer  mom  look  is  a  good  look  on  you.   ”        her  finger  points,   dragging  up  and  down  at  the  hinge;    a  mixed  grin  follows  which  could  emanate  both  teasing  and  intrigue  depending  on  the  viewer.

she,   death      ──      omniscient  in  the  expanse  of  knowledge,   infinite  in  her  knowing  gaze.   may  she  glint  and  luster  the  way  the  moon  does,   but  may  she  equally  darken  when  the  shadows  overcome.    the  widow  often  tries  to  reserve  judgment;    she  was  well  versed  in  inheriting  the  suspicious  glances  and  the  equally  tense  whispers.    everyone  was  painted  red  in  their  own  manner.        ‟    i’ve  heard  a  lot  about  you,   @cheirman​.   ”        her  voice  cuts  the  analytical  silence  like  the  sharpened  blade  of  a  knife.    she  forfeits  a  small  grin      .  .  .       like  she’s  pressing  him,   almost  smug  in  demeanour.    natasha  wanted  to  watch  him  unfold  between  the  lines  of  the  comment.

a  quick  and  equitably  subtle  raise  of  her  brow  which  flashes  across  the  painting  of  her  expression  which  remains  tainted  with  a  sense  of  intrigue.      ‟    but  i  prefer  to  hear  things  straight  from  the  horse’s  mouth.   ”         ──         ‟    or  would  lion  be  more  accurate?   ”

there’s  a  certain  buzz  to  the  atmosphere.   individuals,   soaked  in  equal  parts  sunlight  and  equal  parts  bliss;   she  chalks  the  light  mood  up  to  a  particularly  important  win  earlier  today.   and  it  seems  like  she’s  stolen  the  company  of  the  individual  most  prized  here.    @belasso​  sits  across  the  small  table,   and  she  can’t  help  but  allow  a  honey  -  coated  smile  to  dress  her  features.    her  frame  leans  back  in  the  wooden  chair,   head  canted  as  she  gazes  onward.     ‟   this  place  is  cute.   quaint.   ”     her  voice  rises  above  the  clutter  of  noise;    a  mixture  of  laughter  and  animated  chatter,   a  subdued  whir  of  movement  behind  the  bar. 

in  the  years  of  her  life,   she’s  always  abstained  from  personal  connection          ──        any  devotion  was  considered  a  mistake,    consequences  of  a  life  she  hadn’t  yet  chosen  for  herself.     so  the  subtlety  in  her  enamour  is  an  advocate  for  her  sentiment;     the  trip  she’d  taken  was  covered  as  a  mission    ( i  have  some  people  to  meet  in  london. )     but  she  thinks  he  may  see  past  that.      ‟   i  assume  you’re  a  regular  here?   ”

in  a  world  of  blooming  chaos,   virtue  seemed  so  highly  sought  after.    for  their  more  indecent  counterpart,   the  vices,   were  shrouded  in  a  cloth  of  dismay,   to  be  burned  and  dissipated  for  the  greater  justice  of  humanity.    but  morality  was  a  tipping  scale,    no  sole  individual  would  ever  tip  to  the  greatest  point;    wrong  doing  was  often  innate  in  all  of  us.    she  allows  her  gaze  to  flitter,     dancing  across  various  objects  of  differing  importance  which  she  will  momentarily  analyze  before  forfeiting  her  eye  line  back  to  him.
