Bad days.. Injuried.

Hi everyone. I dont write often here but I want to share something with you that happened to me. Im a volleyballer, playing in the one of Turkish 3rd league team as a libero. Last friday, in the game, suddenly I heard a noise like burst or cracking.I fell down on my knees. I thought that someone kicked me or I hit something. I looked back, nothing.Then I felt the pain on my ankle, I started to suffer and cry. When I look back my ankle there was a space on my ankle. Ambulance came, took me to tha hospital. Annnndddd, the reason of that big pain was achilles tendon rupture. Yes, it was completely ruptured. I had an operation 4 days ago.It took 2.5 hours. Now, I will not walk for a while. Got plaster on my right foot. A little bit depressive days... It was the first game of the season, and season has closed for me. Completely healing takes 7-8 months. If you had injuries in sport, please share with me. I need mentally support. :(

Random: do u think someone who starts volleyball at the age of 20 can still make it to pro's eventually? Have there been any pro's who've started their carreer that late?

if you love sport and doing sport for a long time regularly, i think you can do something maybe not as a professional but you can satisfy yourself

Hey! I just wanted to say I really like you blog and it really inspires me. I..uh.. actually wanted to ask for your opinion on something. I'm not a pro at volleyball ( the only experience I have is from PE class, Im really short and not the best at player) but I really really love the sport. I'm at college now and was thinking of applying to the volleyball team, should I go for it?

you should go for it maybe they are training basicly, if you want it just play
